  1. Okay, I managed to fix the issue with the program you posted. The six-year-old version of Windows on my HDD just didn't want to start it because it was severely out of date. So after 4 or so hours of Windows updates I could finally start it. In the program I just had to add an entry for my E: drive to the boot manager and restart. In the boot manager that showed up I selected the new entry, and it booted from the E: drive perfectly fine. Thanks for the help, you're a lifesaver!
  2. I downloaded that version, but when I try to execute it it tries to open the windows store. At first I thought I'm in S mode, where windows doesn't allow external apps, but it doesn't look like I am. At least my windows version doesn't say "in S mode" like I saw in a few videos. Any ideas?
  3. Am I seeing it right that the version for Windows 10 costs $39.99 ?
  4. Hello, I have the problem that the installation of Windows 10 on my main drive (E:) is not recognized anymore, meaning I can't boot from it anymore. It is treated as there is no OS on the drive. This happened after I tried to install Ubuntu on another drive (F:), but encountered an error after selecting it for installation. Now I can only boot the Windows 10 on my old HDD (C:). I tried to configure the Boot Manager, as that would always show up when I booted my pc so I could select one of the two Windows 10 installations. But the Boot Manager doesn't recognize the installation on my E: drive. As far as I can see the E: drive didn't change and it really shouldn't have. All I did was moving files from the drive where I wanted to put Ubuntu on (F:) to a brand new drive (D:) and then tried to install Ubuntu on the now empty one. I want to avoid having to reinstall Windows on my E: drive and potentielly losing data, so if anyone has any ideas I'd really appreciate it.
  5. I had some troubles updating the chipset driver as the installer got stuck at 0%. That seems to be a problem with the newest version. I followed a user solution with Windows Installer Troubleshooting and it said it was successfull. After that I installed LAN and Audio drivers and updated the Bios to F51. I played a little bit. DMC5 runs well, apart from the logo in the title screen flickering. Some objects in the level I played also flickered, but for the most part it ran well. I had no problems with Overwatch fo far. The only thing I noticed in Doom was models sometimes not loading properly on the slayer customize screen. But no hiccups in gameplay yet. I'll test a bit further and see if something changed. Although I obviously want to sort out the flickering in DMC5.
  6. I'll try updating the BIOS, didn't think of that. What other drivers would be related to the Motherboard? Unfortunately I don't know what coredumps and Windbg are, could you explain? Edit: Oh wait, the Bios is different from the chipset drivers, isn't it?
  7. I've been dealing with bluescreens and crashes for a few weeks now and I can't find the reason for it. The crashes are almost subtle, often it just cuts to my desktop, other times it freezes for a few second before closing. Before a bluescreen the game freezes and the sound gets heavily distorted. The games that are affected are Overwatch, Doom Eternal and Devil May Cry 5. I played a bit Minecraft recently and that worked without a problem, if that says something. I can't remember if every Bluescreen listed a code, but I made photos of two of them and know what they said. The first had the code "UNEXPECTED KERNEL_MODE_TRAP" and listed "dxgkrnl.sys" as cause. The second one had the code "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". It didn't list a file this time. What I tried so far: - Reinstalling the Nvidia driver with DDU - Multiple SFC Scans, repaired something the first time, the other scans didn't find anything - Stress test on GPU and CPU with Heaven Benchmark and Time Spy, both worked without a problem - MemTest86, no errors - Changed DMC5 from DirectX11 to DirectX12 - Reinstalled Windows 10 My Specs: - Ryzen 7 2700x - Aorus B450 Elite Motherboard - 16 GB G.Skill Aegis DDR4 3200Mhz RAM - KFA2 GTX 1660 Super - Seasonic M12II-520 EVO PSU - Windows 10 Home
  8. I'll give it a try. Thanks for the help!
  9. Yeah, that's my setup. Is that a common problem with monitors with different refresh rates? That could fix the problems while gaming, but that still leaves the issues when not. Just a few minutes ago I skipped a bit in a YouTube video, which caused that video and the stream on the second monitor to stop for 5 seconds. Not a huge problem, but still irritating.
  10. I let a Youtube video and a Twitch stream run at the same time, both in 1080p60. At the beginnig of the video I had some stuttering, that settled after a while though. I already had the habit of lowering the stream quality, that's why the cpu usage in my post above is lower than now.
  11. I usually limit my fps to 60 or 144 depending on the title. And even if setting them all to 60 works, this wouldn't explain the issues when not gaming. I'll still try if it changes something.
  12. Hello! I'm new here, so apologies if this question would be better asked in one of the sub-forums. I have a problem in regards of multitasking. While gaming, I often let a stream run on my second monitor. Most of the time I have to lower the resolution of the stream, but even then it could happen that the game and/or the stream stutter(s). The stream could even freeze entirely. Closing the stream usualy fixes the problem in the game, but of course this isn't ideal for me. My first thought was that my CPU was the problem as it's usually 100% utilised while gaming. But even when I'm not gaming, just having multiple streams and/or youtube videos open can cause problems. The CPU hovers in the 20-30% range in this scenario and the problem isn't consistent. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. So maybe the problem lies somewhere else. Essentially I want to ask people with more experience what the cause could be. A new CPU would require a new Motherboard and RAM, so if it doesn't fix my problem, I would just waste money. SPECS CPU: i5-4590 Motherboard: Asus Z97-A RAM: 12GB DDR3 1600 MHz (I know the size is weird) GPU: KFA2 1660 Super OS: Windows 10 Home Browser: Google Chrome I appreciate all suggestions and tips to identify the cause.
