  2. Hi, Recently, I built a computer about 2 years ago and it has been running fantastic, but recently, I've been experiencing blue screens and some programs crash every now and then. Sometimes while I'm gaming, the game will randomly crash, or when I'm browsing the web (on Chrome), it'll just stop responding, or when I'm in a vc on Discord, Discord will restart on its own. If my computer blue screens, my computer will stutter and then it happens. The code that's given is usually either "MEMORY_MANAGEMENT", "SYSTEM_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED", or it'll tell me that what failed was ntfs.sys. I'm not sure what the issue is but it seems like RAM? Idk. Suggestions on what I can do to fix the issue? I would like to narrow down the issue to one thing in particular if possible before thinking about spending any money on hardware/software that may or may not even fix it. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks! Edit: I forgot to add that every time my computer powers on, it makes the sound effect that something has been disconnected, even though I haven't disconnected anything. Idk if that's relevant, but I wanted to include that. Maybe it'll help. Edit 2: OH! I JUST REMEMBERED! This started happening after a power outage in my area during a thunder storm. I would imagine that that definitely plays a role into this.
  3. So here's the deal: I bought a laptop (Dell Inspiron 7000 13-inch) about a year and a half ago and the battery is beginning to give out on me. What was supposed to be an advertised 4 hours of battery life is now ~50 minutes, and with the semester right around the corner, I need to replace it. I know there are replacements, out there on Amazon, eBay, etc. but I want to know what do I specifically need to look for. All I can only find is 38Wh and 42Wh, but my current one is 36Wh. Would those be compatible? Thanks in advance for the help!
  4. Hi! I’m a relatively amateur PC builder and here’s my dilemma: I just finished ordering all my parts for a new rig that I’m upgrading to, but after watching a lot of YouTube guides for building a PC, I’m admittedly getting pretty nervous that the PSU I ordered won’t be enough to power the whole system. Here’s the spec list. CPU: AMD Ryzen 2600 GPU: MSI GTX 1660 VENTUS XS OC RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8Gb DDR4-3200 Mobo: ASRock B450-HDV SSD: Crucial BX500 1Tb PSU: Corsair CX450 Is that PSU enough? I’ve been watching other YouTubers buy 550+watts PSUs w/ similar spec computers and it’s making me think I made the wrong choice. I’m super psyched to build this pc when everything comes in, but I can’t shake this feeling of unease. Maybe you guys can help put my mind at rest? I don’t plan on overclocking at all, btw! Thanks in advance for the help!!
  5. This is my motherboard. I know it's LGA1150, but the cpu placeholder says 115X. What does that mean? Does it support 1151 as well?
  6. That sounds doable. My budget is ~$400. What GPU and SSD did you have in mind, if any?
  7. This was definitely another path I was willing to take, but my hesitation for that comes from the fact that since a lot of these parts are relatively old and very used, I'm not sure what to charge for it all.
  8. My budget is around $400. I'd be willing to wait until I have more, though.
  9. Hey guys, first time poster here. So I have a PC, but it's super outdated. Now that I'm making some decent bucks, I want to upgrade it some. Note that I bought it pre-built, and have made some upgrades since then, but I haven't changed anything for a few years. Here are the specs: CPU - Intel i5 4430 GPU - GTX 1050Ti RAM - 8GB DDR3 1600mhz MOBO - idk some generic motherboard by Lenovo Storage - 2TB HDD 7200rpm Before you say anything, yeah. I know. It's pretty wonky, but it was getting the job done. The uses of this pc include basic computing/office work, playing League of Legends and the occasional Dark Souls III or Forza Horizon 3, and photo and video editing. Any suggestions for what I can do to sort of bring it up to date? I was thinking upgrading my CPU, MOBO, and RAM, but IDK. Thoughts? Thanks in advance!
