  1. What idle temperature? If it's hot even without running anything, it's dried up thermal paste. Else you are just pushing it too hard, using fps limiter on laptops is a must. Keyboard being hot would be normal under heavy load, another sign of bad heat dissipation.
  2. Linus has that fancy cable tester, and if I am not wrong he didn't suggest going longer than 8m for HDMI 2.1. I assume you need 2 high quality cables and extra adapter between them. Is it really impossible to move computer closer to TV? For most content consuming and web browsing you don't need a huge PC... For sure something silent can be kept right behind TV. I for example use Pi 400, most people still suggest shield tv if you want android. Mini PCs come in different shapes and flavors.
  3. Well on the bright side snow isn't liquid, so unless you kept the device with headphone jack to the upside while it was melting it couldn't have gone deep. I bet it's fine.
  4. It is normal for Lithium batteries to discharge without use. It's impossible to put in good battery without making bulky mess, reason I don't use wireless headphones. You can get a timer that turns power on and off automatically if you fear leaving charger on all the time.
  5. Any bluetooth peripherals? I had problem with audio adapter on one PC and no trouble at all on different one, could be the same bad luck. When a device fails, windows goes nuts and can use a ton of RAM looking for new driver or something like that.
  6. Any onboard graphics? I would try inserting windows recovery media, same USB used during installation. Might be useful: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/add-and-remove-drivers-to-an-offline-windows-image?view=windows-11 Linux from USB should for sure work, but even I am not 100% certain it would allow copying and registering driver for windows through linux.
  7. Stop overclocking things, just cuz you can. Did it feel bad at original 60 too? Give fps limiter a chance.
  8. Ah maybe it's blocking a required port. Router firewall or some blacklist settings.
  9. Never had an iPhone, but are you sure those apps are up to date? Though I am running old version of discord and never had to update yet. Maybe they require some extra permissions? Classic advice: 1) restart 2) still no fix, re-install
  10. What is your monitor refresh rate? If it's 60Hz, you ain't gaining anything running higher fps. Stable 60 would feel better then.
  11. Yeah other thing that is plugged in the socket next to it, probably blocks it from going all the way... I recently bought power cube just because so many devices have bulky adapters and 5 sockets on regular extender basically turn into 3...
  12. Officially supported Raspberry Pi OS latest version Bullseye. Based on debian. I think I will go dual boot soon anyway, so will have 2 or even more OS with PINN. But I am looking for stable things, not beta. Less tinkering, more easy access content for parents. Planning to install on different drive, just in case it takes a long time, so I still have something working in the meantime.
  13. Comedies with elements from games can work, like Pixels 2015. I find most video games themselves trashy, movies based on them would insta put me to sleep.
  14. I bought from official reseller in closest country, didn't cheap out, but only got the device and power brick. TV is 49 inch, but only Ultra Wide 2K, running 1080p most of the time. TV itself doesn't have android. I love silent operation even when overclocking, but getting the right software has been a challenge. Some websites don't even have sound when using firefox, but I got chromium working. What exactly are you suggesting? KonstaKang's Lineage OS Android TV build?
  15. I am looking into this too, everyone keeps telling RDNA2 is worth the wait.
  16. Well I got a USB re-chargeable wireless mouse, and it's intended mostly for parents... I don't think they would appreciate game controller, but thanks. By mobile version I still mean a website, not going android way cuz it's hard to find enough local content apps to justify heavy OS. Just using desktop mode is slow on initial loading of all thumbnails, but I guess I will just stick with that for now. Nobody knows an easy solution.
  17. You are trying to make a website? Uh I am rusty on that. For the end users... There are lightweight browsers that do just that, but might not meet your standards for browsing in general... https://www.browzar.com/
  18. Oh if it's not happening with other devices. You can try buying cheap external USB adapter for wifi.
  19. When you connect ethernet cable, also disable wifi adapter, to make sure you are indeed using the wired connection. Sounds like packet loss to me. Does it happen all the time or only during bad weather? If this happens too often even on true wired connection, ask ISP to replace router.
  20. Well I did have problems on Raspberry Pi, but it should be easier for you to install older browser again on windows. oldversion seems to be failing today Alternative
  21. Try disabling --> Accelerated 2D canvas But leave hardware acceleration for video on.
  22. Cuz ShareMouse has similar notification icon. Well if it's not prank, I still suggest trying English user interface.
  23. I am trying to get better user experience, snappier feel without giving up functionality. No touch screen on my TV with Pi 400 connected to it. Mobile version of youtube loads faster, but has annoying things about it, videos on auto play don't start in fullscreen. And controls close very fast.
  24. 2 devices will interact each other via cable, Gigabit ports, don't see problem there. From my experience Huawei ISP provided routers have unstable wifi, speed just going to 0 often, but cable connection is solid. All TPLink products have worked great for me so far.
  25. I don't think you need windows at all to do mining... if you believe it's software why not try linux?
