  1. It's been done, but final looks depend on your skill. Gluing it together might be easier, but it will probably look better when using more advanced technique.

Wood can crack and change shape as it dries, so make sure wood you use is completely dry already.

Other than that it's even safer than having metal case, because dry wood doesn't conduct electricity, even if some exposed parts touch the case it shouldn't short anything out...

Probably the one to look at:

    Too advanced:

Update again: Jinxed it. This morning it whined again, hours after I hibernated the PC. Some additional observations:

    • It continues buzzing for a few seconds after flipping off the switch. It goes away entirely if I then press the front power button.
    • The buzz/hum/whine also disappears on significant loads, like running the Superposition benchmark.
    • I have now also recorded the sound:20240315_062643.aac

Hibernation still uses some power, but PSU fan probably stays idle at the time. I suggest turning PC off completely, giving all parts a proper rest.

Again that doesn't sound like a terrible catastrophic noise.

Have you reseat the GPU? Since the issue is output. I would start from there. What I would do first is to reseat the GPU. Then use the other hdmi port and use displayport. If it still does not show any display, I would remove the gpu and test igpu first. You can also flash CMOS and just use one stick of ram while troubleshooting.

I have no GPU, only iGPU. Only 1 HDMI port, will go buy displayport cable after work...

Maybe I am stupid and red LED for 1 second counts as error. I am attaching  a video of what happens right after I use power button.

So you tried the Linux thing ? I thought maybe there's a driver missing that a USB key could install.

Otherwise that's weird, no sound and no led, maybe something's off and you should check the cooler and cpu.

    I'd try the Bios update.

Just in case it's drivers... I found SATA power and data, connected SSD that for sure had linux on it, still nothing.

Next bios, and then CPU that I really didn't want to touch.

    Tech Enthusiasts,

I recently stumbled upon a deeply concerning report from Igor’s Lab, which conducted an extensive material test on AIO radiators. The findings are alarming: the Barrow Dabel 28b Slim 120mm radiator, among others, was found to contain significant amounts of lead and other substandard materials. This revelation raises serious health and safety concerns for all of us in the PC building community.

Not all, I never touched a radiator in my life...

But I am sure fast food contains things way worse, people know it, but still consume.

Even the good things we try to do can cause harm. Just saw news of kids getting intoxicated by vitamin D supplement Nateo D Forte

  6. Has anyone had PC looking like it's all good except not getting video output?

Didn't get any good suggestions on my previous topic:

I have checked the cables, 8-pin, 24-pin all looking good. CPU fans and case fans are spinning. RAM re-seated. I am contacting Sedatech support now...

Keyboard lights up, but can't tell if I am entering BIOS without video signal...

Have not tried DISPLAY port instead of HDMI.

    Have not done BIOS flash.

    Have not removed SSD.

    Have not removed CPU.

Did you push the button to turn on, got some activity and after a while you push the button to turn off (and the pc turns off after a while) ?

    Then retry ?

Usually new PCs are sent with an OS installed.

I'd try with a genuine Windows installation USB Key (made with the Microsoft Tool)

I specifically ordered option without windows OS, because it was cheaper.

If there was some video output I could easily run linux from USB, but nothing....

Yeah I tried power button many times, always ends in green LED, meaning at least motherboard is getting power.

There is also no error sound, even with speakers connected. The only LED indicated error I could get was when I removed both RAM sticks...

  8. So I just unpacked a new PC bought from amazon.de (Sedatech Office PC, AMD Ryzen 7 7700). Fans are spinning, but no video through HDMI to my known working monitor.

No dedicated GPU, only onboard graphics.

I know it has no OS installed, but I expected to plug in USB stick and at least get something...

LED next to BOOT is green.

Tried removing all RAM sticks and got error, reinstalled, back to no error.

Cleared CMOS and waited 10 minutes, no change.

Should I try flashing a different bios version? There is flash BIOS button on the back of the case.

What are the odds CPU got disconnected during shipping? Had really nice foam packed in. Packaging had no visual damage, case also not damaged. But really massive air cooler. CPU is the one part I am scared removing and main reason I bought pre-built, don't even have any thermal paste.

    Mainboard: MSI Pro B650-P Wifi
    Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 7700X 8x 4.5GHz (max 5.4GHz)
CPU fan: Fortis 5 dual fan.
Graphics : AMD Radeon Graphics (onboard).
    [RAM]: 32GB DDR5 5200MHz dual channel (2x16GB)

  9. Try updating drivers. First thing I would try is plugging Bluetooth Dongle into different USB port. Making sure there is nothing physically blocking signal between dongle and bluetooth device.

And obviously if you have a ton of bluetooth devices there is gonna be interference.

Ah yes, downloading a random APK from an unknown source is always a good idea. Do you know for a fact they've updated their APK to work with Android 14's new storage restrictions?

Looks like there's an official version on the Play Store:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mixplorer.silver

But apparently the storage restrictions also affect older versions: https://www.reddit.com/r/EmulationOnAndroid/comments/17l5vaj/the_loophole_that_file_managers_were_using_to_get/

Well Android 9 works just fine for me, don't know anyone with Android 14. First world problems I guess...

Not saying you should leave HTTP server always on...

And I have used Bitcoin lightning wallet on same phone, nobody hacked that away...

  11. Microsoft can be annoying sometimes indeed... like I am trying print from excel, but it offers me to save as PDF instead as 1st option...

If it's going to web anyway, why not work with google docs?

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/e/2PACX-1vQapQd696jXk87vVB9THnpDgna0srKBOE4jO_RBdFpOluGLQhhqJmXvzgcVdQikd84XKj7pdzGUKoZN/pub

Instead of changing how document looks every time you can save it in certain way.

In your case if you want to be certain document looks the same on other computers saving it as PDF is what you need.
