  3. I have had my PNY 4090 for 3 monthing with a custom waterblock fitted with 0 issues so far, stock settings, NO OC, NO CUSTOM bios. I was sat on desktop working in UNTIY and visual studio when a hear a pop, pc turns off. I go hmm wait a few seconds turn PC back on holyshit smoke coming from the back of the card. Some how a capactior? blew up. I have contacted the store where i got my GPU from (Ebuyer UK) they are going to RMA it but they will be sending it back to PNY for repairs/replcement and now im worried as I had a waterblock on it. 99.9% sure this has nothing to do with the waterblock, and i hear horror stories about PNY with custom blocks etc. Is there any tips i need to know before going through the nightmare? Also, I hope this has nothing to do with the new drivers ??
  4. New developments, sometimes now when my pc is freezing or going to freeze i get system beeps through my speakers when i try to move my mouse. I also could recreate the crashing for the first time by playing new world, i could make my pc freeze like clocking by just playing the game for around 5 mins (But now I can play games for hours with no crashes and then it will freeze on desktop). I also am now getting no memory dumps and I have NEVER had a BSOD. The latest crash was this... mouse begain to freeze over 10 seconds ithe curser started stuttering untill it locked up then both my monitors turned off, i heard a USB disconnect sound then both of them turned back on, then 10 seconds later both of the monitors turned back off sounds contined for 20 seconds or so then nothing montiors having no signal no sound had to force power off, this was after playing warzone for 3 hours with 0 problems . Thanks for your help

  6. Hello my friends, A few weeks ago i suddenly starting getting random freezes and only hitting the power button is the only solution unlesss i leave it around 5-10 mins and it may reboot iself. At first i thought it was only while gaming but it would do it when watching youtube/twitch and even once when i was afk from my PC with nothing open on the desktop. Now in games just before the PC freezes i start getting frame drops from 120fps to 60 then 50 then 40 then 20 then freeze. 20% of the time my pc can recover but when it does that both my monitors loose signal then come back. I expected to see a nvidia driver recoverd popup but ive never seen that. Anyways, I did a few steps to try and fix my issue, updated bios to latest versions still freezes, put back to older bios version still freezes. I used DDU and reinstalled nvidia drivers to latest did not work, I used DDU and isntalled to older versions of drivers still freezing. I formatted, installed only nvidia drivers still freezes, I started going around unplugging all devices I did not need, and for 3 days with just mouse and keyboard i had no freeze then all of a sudden freeze in a game. I ran memtest for a full run, 0 problems. I ran XMP off and on, I ran precision boost of and on all with the same results. So my last straw was to update bios to latest and all drivers to there latest versions. 3 weeks passes no crashes (and i use my pc HEAVLY for multiple things at once even recently playing new world lol) Untill last night, started playing warzone and freeze on title screen. Rebooted, loaded into a game playing... FPS drops to half then half again and freeze. I unisntalled all motherboard software i had installed day before and i was able to game the whole night without a single freeze/problem. I booted my pc today and browing twitch/tube suddenly a freeze. rebooted 5 mins later freeze on desktop again, with wow classes running the background. Now as it has been hot here in the UK i wanted more control over the fans so i installed some motherboard tools, and thats the only change i made to my pc software/mobo/hardware wise in the past 3 weeks I dont know if this is a coicidence or not. I realy dont know what else to try, i dont know if its USB issues or GPU problems. But going almost a month with 0 problems im starting to think its some sort of funky driver issue. HERES A DUMP View of the latest crash It seems to line up with the time it crashes ive never had a BSOD jsut freezes so AND LAST NIGHT Here is a mem dump file https://drive.google.com/file/d/1JoZRVG8qNloGxoRZdoTElYSM1l1a3iKc/view?usp=sharing PC SPECS: 5950X. GIGABYTE X570 MASTER 32GB 3600MHZ ram RTX 20080TI Thanks for reading guys i realy dont know what to do to fix this any help is much apreciated !
  7. Last update, ASUS came through and sent me a brand spanking new monitor. For all the shit I had over the past month or so I rly happy now I have a brand new screen. Anyone reading this in the future, if RMA is fucking you around know your rights and demand a new product or refund. ASUS honored there commitment to me to fix my problems, resulting in them fixing it with a brand new monitor. Thanks for your advice guys.
  8. Holy hell, so many shitty RMA stories ><, They have escalated my case to see if I can now get a brand new monitor. We will see, I have no faith they will do that.
  9. Got it on intrest free credit ><, contacted support they wanted the video I took of the delivery, now waiting on a reply
  10. So fucking glad I checked it at the door when I saw the state of the box holyshit ><
  11. Sorry, I just set the text color to automatic I dont know if that helps first time posting here
  12. I had to share what has been happening over the past month or so. I had my PG227UQ for 8 months when the fan started to get not just loud but would change its RPM from loud to very loud (think of a mini hair dryer being turned to high setting then low) every 30 seconds. Now a fan noise is livable but an alternating fan noise is outright audio stress. So i started my RMA process.... The first RMA started out well, I received what looked like a brand new monitor apart from it was clear that this had been at least turned on once (as expected for a RMA), the stand packaging was opened the monitor bag cover was also open. I turned the screen on to find a dead pixel 1 inch from the right side bottom: https://i.imgur.com/gWEfcCk.jpg This was the first red flag, it was obvious if you put two and two together that this was someone's monitor they had sent back due to a dead pixel and instead of ASUS fixing it they just sent it out as a RMA replacement. So i ask for another RMA (no way im looking at a dead pixel on a $2000 screen when my old one didn't have one) they agreed to another rma. Now every screen I sent them back had the original packaging, original retail box etc. This is what i got sent back as my second rma : The box it came in https://i.imgur.com/cdYseqC.jpg The state of the packaging inside https://i.imgur.com/R96o8HO.jpg The state of the screen https://i.imgur.com/UQXuk0V.png I was quite shocked that they would send something out like this and the monitor as you can see from the last picture was clearly dirty, so obviously it's one else's old screen as to be expected as its a RMA. But what you don't expect from an RMA is that they haven't fixed the old issues they have had from other people. Yep when I turned this monitor on it had a loud fan even worse than my original RMA, so again we start the RMA process, which leads to today. The assholes over there send me a monitor in a tiny box covered in bubble wrap?? , no protective styrofoam nothing and of course the monitor was broken : https://i.imgur.com/G6uKUC4.png All the packaging it had https://i.imgur.com/9Qfx8oX.png As you can see there is a huge crack in the frame of the monitor (I recorded me checking the state of the delivery) , it's a good job i checked this before the delivery driver left so I could refuse to take this in this state. Its quite clear now there is no quality controll over at asus RMA, they are sending out defective screens as a replcement hoping people dont give a fuck about it. I heard horror stories before but I did not believe this shit was that bad. How can they ship out a monitor wrapped in bubble wrap in a cardboard box and nothing else? Its utterly insane what the hell is going on over there! .I think it's time I fight for a full refund and stay away from asus shit for life >< Thanks for reading I hope you guys never experience this!
