Cables from a different power supply may not be the same. It is possible some manufactures with the same series could be using the same type, but its never recommened to use a different PSU because the wiring could different.

Have you tried putting a thicker or a extra O-ring to see if it would help stop the leaking?

If you click on the option for dual tower version with 2 x 130mm fans it might be effective enough, but not the single tower version. Looks like only one left and its probably returned as used from someone reviewing it saying parts were missing.

Allyxxx got a reaction from Wireball in Do we really need to have a proprietary monitor stand every time we buy a monitor?
Just about every time I buy a new monitor for my main computers I mount them to a vertical stand for 2 monitors or to a single mount I have, because it gives me the option to raise the monitor higher or rotate the monitors 90 degrees. The monitor poles I have are far more ideal, and reusable than the monitor stands that comes with most typical monitors. Why can't manufactures just use some standard so we don't need to always buy a stand we will never use? Would production costs be reduced if stands were not provided, and instead it had vesa or some standard mounting? Some times the mounting won't even fit normally without some extra adapter. My very first Samsung LCD monitor I bought 15 years ago actually had a good reusable monitor stand that I still have to this day and I use reuse it when I replace the monitor.

Am I the only one that feels this way about monitor stands that are included with most montors?

You could just buy the cheaper one that's looks nicer within your system. I like EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FTW Ultra Gaming, because its black with a simple look to it and the heatsink seems to be bigger. ASUS ROG Strix RTX 3060 Ti looks really nice too if you want more RGB. I tend to find Zotac, and MSI graphics cards have a thinner heat sink even though it's probably adequate for the GPU and even with 2 fans should be okay for a 3060Ti.

It's a decent build. The Gigabyte manual recommends putting a single pair of dual channel memory in A2 and B2. I don't know if benchmarking speed would give different results.

Allyxxx got a reaction from bmx6454 in Should buy a used AIO
Maintenance is really just blowing out the dust trapped between the radiator fins. You would need to remove the fans and may need to uninstall the pump/block if you find yourself too restricted with limited space. Most AIOs are not intended to be refilled, but it is possible on some and some have a sticker on the thing that says it voids the warranty.

There have been some intel motherboards people have claimed some bigger coolers didn't quite fit, because the mounting brackets made contact with a capacitor or something else on the motherboard. This one looks like it would fit.

VRM seem to get left out, but varies so much from one motherboard to another. I try find ways to replace 120mm fans with 140mm fans to blow air under the heatsink and pull it and hope some cool air gets push under the VRM.

Having the top fan pushing some fresh air on the memory and VRM can help, but may need some moding to offset the mounting to directing more effectively.

It's more than likely a AIO pump will have a minimum RPM it can be set to so they it is always running. Just find out if the pump RPM is adjustable and what the minimum range is. Then adjust the fan/pump bios settings to your preference. I'm not sure if a AIO can run 10 years straight 24/7. It seems like some liquid has evaporated or the loop is not quite as full after a few years.

Refillable port seems like a good feature. Maybe the pump vibrations is partially absorbed into the tubing. It looks interesting for an AIO.

You may only need to adjust the fan curve. Idle temperature tends to fluctuate too much with that setting. If stress temps look to high it could be mounting.

Craigslist in my area seems over priced. I often see $40-45 CAD for used ddr3 1600. I've been looking for ddr3 around $25-32 myself since one of my Gskills stopped working after a few years. Money may be better saved towards a new system if you don't think it's a fair price.

It may not look flashy, but works quite well for air coolers. If you go with a AIO cooler, a 280 or 240 would be best. A 360 AIO can fit, but it's not as easy to install the radiator and fans between the front case bracket.
