  1. Thank you for the quick and helpful responses, I can now go and order my laptop in peace!
  2. Hey everyone I'm trying to buy a lenovo legion 5 pro but I got very confused in the process, on Linus their ShortCircuit channel they did a review on it, with a link in the description. https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/coming-soon/Legion-5-Pro-16ACH6H/p/88GMY501578 here it says it's 'coming soon' also it says "88GMY501578" in the link which is the product number. now here is where I'm confused, if I go to a store in my country I can already find the Legion 5 pro, but the product number is "82JQ007NMB" the specs are the exact same it seems, are they the same laptop? sorry for the question but it's a lot of money and I just want to make sure I'm not missing out on anything important, thanks!
  3. sorry for my late reply, i've done some testing etc. I'm currently 4.7Ghz, and turned volts to 1.380, I did the cinebench test again and it didn't crash, it peaked to 75°C once for a split second, but usually was around 73°C had it at 1.375Volts before but it crashed, although I'm completely clueless why it did.. I thought this were the currents it was drawing, am i wrong? so i first thought i could lower it even more from 1.375V but then it crashed.. well I guess there are other factors that I don't know anything about..
  4. okay thank you, i read on google the max temperature for it is 72°C so it seemed high to me could you check out the reply i just did? maybe you know some answers
  5. thank you, I just did a cinebench r20 test, these are the results I also have some questions, why does it say 3.51 GHz and not 4.5 GHz? also if i under volt my CPU, will i still be able to get in the bios to set it back? do core speeds affect CPU temperatures? or is it only affected by the voltage? (if yes that means that with 1.44V I will always get +- 76°C like above?
  6. Hey everyone, I want to start by saying I'm a complete beginner on this, so don't judge my thinking, I'm here to ask YOU for help. I've recently started playing Battlefield 5 on my pc, it has an i5 6600K cooled by the Corsair H100i and an ASUS 980ti strix (6gb) I noticed that my CPU always goes to 100% at 65-67°C, while my GPU is only at 80% (70°C) I thought those CPU temperatures were very high for running @ 4.5Ghz. so I did some further investigating and found out that it's running on 1.44 Vcore voltage. the Vcore is set to AUTO in the BIOS. I'm trying to get more out of my pc while maintaining +- 65°C on my CPU do I have a really bad chip or is the AUTO voltage setting just really bad?
  7. it's on +-65°C (google says 72°C is max) so it's kinda close right? also wouldn't overclocking make the temperatures go up even more? it used to run on 3.9Ghz what a friend did for me, but he lives in a different country now, but it somehow reset? How do i check if my CPU cooler is even working fine? any recommendations on termal paste? also, sorry for so many questions, i just don't know that much about all of this as my friend used to do all of this for me
  8. I use msi afterburner, but I always think it's going to explode if i crank it up too much haha. I had another thing, because I thought my CPU was the 'bottleneck' since it's on 100% at pretty much its max temprature and my GPU is running on 95% and only on like 65°C (google says max is 84°C)
  9. little too technical for me, should i or shouldn't I put it on the SSD? I don't know what SWAP files are
  10. Thank you, yes I have 2x4GB ram, I'm a little sceptical on buying 2nd hand electronics, maybe I can look at refurbished ones from stores. wrote down 2070 super and 1080ti (refurb), will definately look into it.
  11. thank you, I did not know it had that high demand, I'll change my topic slightly
  12. I have a 250 gig SSD/1TB HDD and yes I have a 144 hz 1440p monitor, hence i want those graphics I wrote down to get more RAM, thank you, does the 2133 really matter? thanks for the info, seems my expectations are far too high, I'm going to change my topic to 1080p high settings
  13. Hey everyone, I have a 500 euro (550 USD) budget to upgrade my pc with. the focus is gaming, just as reference, I would love to play Battlefield 5 @ high settings 1080p 144Hz. (Hz aren't SUPER important, the higher the better ofcourse) Currently my CPU is running at 65-68°C (149-154.4°F) on medium settings in BF5 my specs: Case: Corsair Air 540 Mobo: Asus Z170-A socket 1151 CPU: i5-6600K (3.5Ghz, 3,9Ghz boost) CPU cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H110i GT RAM: Corsair 8 GB DDR4-2133 (2x4GB 2133) PSU: Corsair CS650M GPU: ASUS STRIX-GTX980TI-DC3OC-6GD5 Samsung 850 EVO, 250 GB SSD Western Digital Black, 1 TB Monitor: Acer XF272UP Note that nothing is overclocked as I don't know how to do this. if I forgot any valuable information you need to know, tell me and I will try my best to answer you!
