yalox got a reaction from nox_ in Razer Hunstman Elite vs SteelSeries Apex Pro
The keyboard you tried probably had SteelSeries's own Omron switches, which are very wobbly/mushy. The Apex PRO has "hall-effect" optical switches, which are not mushy. They also feel smoother than most of the stock switches on the market. I wouldn't choose either of the boards for the price, but I would take the Apex PRO over the Huntsman.

Just built up my silver Love TKL, threw a cheap KPRepublic set on it (no WKL caps) while waiting for my OG Cherry dyesubs. Switches are vintage blacks (early 1990s, small logo) lubed with 205g0. The switches have Gateron Yellow springs and TX films, built on a thin H87a and polycarb plate with a nice amount of flex. I've also ordered some 50a O-Rings to mount the plate on, hopefully to isolate the sound.

I put some Cherry Blacks into my KBDfans 5 Degree earlier this week, and despite lubing them up wiith Krytox 205g0, they're still scratchy. Even stock Gateron Yellows beat these.

What's particularly hard about them? There are boards like the Dactyl, Ergodox and Iris.
Should also mention the switch plate, which is often separate from the case.

No. Plate mount means that the switches have 3 pins, PCB mount means they have 2 extra friction mount pins to hold the switch in place. This is completely separate from whether the PCB supports hot swap, or whether the switches are soldered in.

yalox reacted to LamoidZombieDog in the cooler master mk850 is a scam?
So i just bought a cooler master MK850, and immediately realized the quality i was missing out on with my red dragon keyboard, but the original reason i bought it is for their pressure sensitive "aimpad" feature. their program sucks, and "corrupted" the keyboard multiple times, but when it works, i cant figure out how to use it. when i enable aim-pad for Beamng.drive it does not work right, it just spams the S key making my brake lights flash, and barely allows me to drive fowards. how do i configure this correctly? also, are reviews true about this aim-pad feature only being in a few keys like q w e r a s d f? when they show this keyboard they make it look like its easy to use works great and every key can do this, meaning i can use arrow keys to drive in games, but this doesn't seem to be the case, and im at the point where the only reason i would keep it, is because theres no other good pressure sensitive keyboards and the quality of this is pretty good.

You sound really entitled.  You do realize if he guesses wrong he could be held accountable or liable?  Probably not.  So instead of guessing he asked you to do the legwork you should have done up front instead of sending a picture.  Got it.

He also isn't going to suggest something, off a guess. I am sure if you had provided him with the right data up front he could have offered you replacement pads through razer if they actually produce them.

I have no idea where your angst or anger is coming from, and I wholly disagree with your stance.

EDIT - hell its YOUR mouse why don't YOU know what it is?

Sounds like you have an old Razer mouse that you need to Identify yourself, via the skews on the bottom so he doesn't take a wild guess.  You cannot be upset about this bro.

Also, they aren't going to suggest a third party pad replacement.  They do that they lose the potential for you to purchase a new Razer mouse instead.

I don't see the problem at all with Razers response.  Seems like a very entitled post.

The typing experience and build quality/stabilizers will also be better, I'd go for a Leopold board. You can buy them off Amazon and other sites as well.

Wouldn't really recommend the G610, it has a brittle plastic case and the mounting makes it fairly "pingy". For the price, there are other choices such as Leopold or Varmilo boards, but I'd still take a HyperX board over Logitech ones.

Blue Outemus aren't even bad as far as click-jackets go, they're better than MX Blues to me.
