  1. Damn, I was going to get one of these. I guess I'll just have to spend all my money on Audiophile grade fuses instead... https://www.futureshop.co.uk/quantum-science-audio-silver-extreme-level-uk-13a-fuse?gclid=CjwKCAjwzY2bBhB6EiwAPpUpZtE4wbUsgOHWwGsIR1hVsst9kzmMrLKes48A_o6r44GdyFWWUXm2bhoC3dgQAvD_BwE /s
  2. For anyone reading this or finds it in the future... Turned out to be the CPU.... Obviously I figured this out after replacing everything else.
  3. After further testing it seems the max Memory speed In can run is 2666 on both sets of memory and both motherboards Weird CPU memory controller issue?
  4. Fitted the seasonic PSU... No difference Bought some Corsair LPX memory.... No difference. So that's new Motherboard, New PSU, New Memory all the same.
  5. Ok flashing the bios made no difference. However backing off my memory speed to 3400 and slacking the timing off seems to help. I'm using Patriot Viper 3600 cl17 memory and the voltage changes to the correct 1.35v with XMP enabled.
  6. Thats interesting, i did update to the latest bios, but via the BIOS GUI. I will give that method a try, thanks.
  7. Just to note, i have tried the GPU and Memory in another system with no boot or sleep issues, unfortunately i don't have access to a system i can try the CPU in, but its highly unlikely to be the cause in this situation.... maybe?
  8. Back in June 2020 i built a System using an MSI B450 Gaming Plus Max and a Corsair TX550M (rest of specs. 3700x, 2x8Gb DDR4 3600, 5700xt, NVME SSD + Sata SSD) Pretty much from the start i had cold boot issues where the fans ect would spin up, but there would be no display and the MSI B450 board would show the CPU LED on the EZ Debug, but a couple of power cycles and it would start no problem. Did some googling and found that this is really common on that board (especially with XMP enabled for some reason) and i assumed there'd be a bois update to fix it at some point. However recently the system started turning it's self off randomly, and was even more of a pain to cold boot than normal, several bios updates and bios setting changes fixed nothing, so i decided to ditch the MSI board and i ordered a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Elite V2. Initially things were looking promising, until the next day when i booted from the system sitting overnight and i was greated with the same fans ect spinning, no RGB, no Display. A couple of power cycles got it started, but after a couple of minutes of running it randomly turned off while just sat idling on windows desktop. (A Setting in the Gigabyte Bios called 'Power Loading' seems to have fixed the random shut downs.) Also i've found that if i let my computer sleep it won't start back up, again with the same fan spin, but not much else. (i've tried disabling Hybrid Sleep and Fast Boot ect). Occationally restarts have given the same issue, altho this is slightly better eith ErP turned off. From my perspective given that i've tried another motherboard this is pointing at PSU, so i've ordered a Seasonic Focus GX 750w to try. Am i missing something obvious?
  9. I have a similar MSI b450 motherboard and had a similar issue with restarts and the CPU LED. After trying many things I found Manually setting the VREF CH A & B voltage to half DRAM voltage (0.675v in my case for 1.35v with XMP enabled) solved the issue. Also I'm using the beta bios with windows 11 support with no issues.
  10. Are you looking at Junction Temp? If so, that sounds quiet reasonable for a 5700xt,
  11. I don't think you can duplicate the Keyboard/Mouse input with off the shelf hardware. Software might be a way to go.
  12. Thanks for the replies! I've got a few ideas I can look into now, glad to see it's not just me that sometimes prefers building, tweaking and OC'ing more than using and gaming! (Unfortunately my bank account doesn't allow me to do this as much as I would like)
  13. I recently built myself a fairly good desktop gaming PC after not having one for 7-8years (but still having a laptop + PS3/4). This was partly due to wanting one anyway, the covid lockdown boredom, and because my GF is now working from home on a permanent basis (was on the cards before Covid), and i've built a 'garden office' so now have the space! i built many PC's prior to the 7-8 year gap and spent most of my teens and early 20's being massively into computers, but i have absolutely no idea what i used to do on the PC's i built apart from gaming and browsing forums! I do a bit of casual gaming, i enjoy tweaking & overclocking (i think I've just about run out of headroom for overclocking my system), i fear i enjoy this and the building process more than actually using my PC, i'm not sure if some of this is because phones have gotten so much better for browsing the internet i don't feel the need to browse on a PC as often). So aside from the above, what else do you guys do on your PC's?
  14. There's a couple of old pre-built systems in my parents attic... -Acer Across - Pentium 120mhz, 24mb EDO Ram (upgraded from 8mb), 510mb HDD running Windows 95 Plus! -Tiny (defunkt PC retailer in the UK) - Pentium 2 333mhz, 128mb Ram (upgraded from 64 i think), onboard ati graphics, and we added a 12mb Voodoo2 3D Accelerator Card and a 2x CD Burner - originally running Windows 98, then Me, then XP. After these i started building all the PC's we've had, and have sold old parts off... if it wasn't for being lockdown at my own house i'd dig these out and see if they still worked.
  15. lol, i used to have a Turbo'ed 172 Cup i put together, but got rid of it for the evo.
