Thanks. Using OpenRGB does work. For now I just have the lighting turned off. Will do some experimenting with the effects and how they look compared to the ones I have built for my Razer keyboard and mouse.

HI, Recently I picked up a new to me system for a decent price. The main reason was the Gigabyte B450m DS3H v2 with the most current bio supports up to Ryzen 5000, which I plan on upgrading to when I save so more money. I picked up a 64gig ram kit 70 bucks. The ram is Patriot Viper Steel RGB. The first thing I noticed is the ram doesn't show up in RGBfusion or the Viper rgb software. When I open HWinfo the ram reports as unknown ( see attached pic). Both sticks show up, report the correct size, stability is fine and I was able to apply XMP in the bios. Does anyone know how to fix this, or did I get some counterfeit ram. The only reason I want to get rgb control working is so I can turn it off, so when the computer sleeps its not lighting up my room.

It wasn't in the options to turn on. randomly last night when I opened Firefox the screen went black for a second and when it came back the HDR notification on the tv's OSD up and now it works

HDR in windows is no longer working. I have a dell optiplex 9010 with a gt 1030 connected to a RCA Roku smart tv. It was working but ever since the kids unplugged the computer to connect the Xbox one it will not work. I have the latest nvidia drivers installed. If anyone has any idea that would be great.

Thanks for the reply. I did manage to get it to work. I used the change product key in settings. Which then comes up with an error saying this product key is not for this version of windows. Upon restarting the computer it does a windows update to unlock all the Pro features. When I went to settings again it says this version of windows is not activated, and re entered the key. Now I have Windows 10 Pro.

So I bought an oem license for win10 pro, the key can not be used to upgrade home to pro. It’s a little less than ideal having to do a fresh install. I can not figure out where I would input the code during the installation process?

You could plug a Mic with a 1/4" connector in with a guitar using a Y cable, but guitar amps do not have Mic preamps. They have very different output voltages so the guitar will be significantly louder than the Mic. It would also sound terrible guitar amps have a very different frequency response than your typical speaker.

I have an issue that I have been trying to solve off and on for a while now. I have tried sever different distros of Linux and all of them end with the same result. After a period of time which can be 5 minutes to a couple days the computer will completely freeze. The only thing to do physically turn it off. It seems to be mostly with playing video, if I use Firefox and turn off hardware 3d acceleration I can get to run for about a day but it will eventually lock up. I do not have any of these issues with win10. Thanks
