  1. Ok thanks, from what i researched i got told loads of different things. Like it just simply wouldnt work or that it would at a reduced speed or it just simply wouldnt pick the extra ram up
  2. So I'm running an AMD Ryzen 5 2600, GeForce GTX 1050ti and 2x4gb patriot viper 3000Mhz ram on the MSI B450M PRO-VDH MAX. I know there are limitations with the R5 2nd gen chips and I'm wanting to upgrade my ram to 16gb. Would running 4x4gb work at 2933Mhz or is this something that isn't possible? I know upgrading to 2x8gb would be more ideal but I'd end up spending much more and the extra ram isn't worth the extra £80 to me at least. Thank you for any help : )
  3. So I’ve bought a ryzen 5 2600 and 8gb 3000mhz ram (already arrived) but the motherboard I ordered had issues with delivering and I managed to contact support and get a refund but I’m still also getting the product, so I’ve got an extra £65, the question is what to upgrade or add. Should I buy an NvMe SSD for boot and some storage or buy a better cooler or ram or case? I’m thinking the ssd could a good addition but maybe the ram would be more effective. Thoughts. I’m also currently running a 1050ti and wanting to upgrade, I could always sell it and put the money towards a 1660 or something of the same nature.
  4. Surely you could claim Freedom Of information's act. Requiring them to disclose all information held on you. So if you can get in another live chat ask for the reason and if they dont disclose it then pull that card, even if it doesn't work its still an easy way to break customer support.
  5. I'd skip on the SSD because the read and write speeds don't bother me. But thanks didn't account for going for a smaller case.
  6. I don't plan to play many demanding games i play things like Overwatch and r6s and plan to upgrade that later down the line.
  7. So I've been looking to build a new PC on what I can only describe as a sort of tight budget and these are the components I'm looking at. This will be my gaming PC and my uni PC and I'm trying to make room for upgrades in the future. Ryzen 5 2600 Cpu MSI B450M-A Pro Max Mobo Corsair vengeance LPX 2x4Gb DDR4 2400mhz Ram Corsair Carbide Spec-05 Case Corsair CX550 GeForce GTX 1050Ti 4GB (Already have) Any thoughts or improvements? Thanks
  8. I know it wouldnt work, thats the point. I just think itd be cool to see it rather than just knowing it wouldn't work.
  9. Scrapyard Wars: A "budget" wars where you have something around $500 but you cant buy a conventional case, so you would have to make your own case, wood, acrylic, your choice. But it must have something like 3 fans mounts or something. And you get points on how creative you are on your design. And you cant use the machines you have at the studio. So you ave to use hand tools. Video Idea: Build a PC in a vacuum and see how long it lasts or if it lasts forever. Merch Idea: Wan show merch with the hexagonal design wrapping around the whole shirt with the LTT logo printed on one of the hexagons. Just spit balling some brain farts I've had watching the WAN show : P
  10. Thanks for the help guys, still a little new to this scene : P
  11. so I'm currently running an AMD A8 7650k cpu (not relying on its on board graphics) and frankly its not enough for most modern games, and I've found a bundle for everything I'd need (Mobo, cpu, ram, cooler) and i woudl like to know how much of an improvement the amd FX 8350 would be. Thank you in advance
