  1. No 500w should be fine. But, if your only getting 2.18ghz something has happened in your bios See my previous post to reset it and it should get back to 3.7ghz base clock speed Alternatively, check you are on the most recent bios update Let me know how you get on
  2. Worst case senario you could reset your bios. unplug your PSU open your case remove the circular battery from the motherboard wait for 30 seconds or so... replace the battery plug in computer boot in to the bios (usually press delete key over and over on boot) turn on XMP profile set your RAM speed to stock (mine is 3600mhz) Leave everything else on AUTO exit and save let it boot should be back to normal???
  3. Hi guys, I have an issue with my Samsung LC34F791QWQUXEN 34 INCH Ultrawide monitor and RX 590 graphics card. When i leave the computer for 15 minutes windows is set for the monitor to go to sleep. When i move the mouse or press a key on the keyboard the screen wakes up as it should... however, rathger than seeing the desktop as normal the screen flickers and i get a grey static style image on the screen. Nothing i do seems to bring the image back until i disconnect the hdmi lead from the graphics card and plug it back in. Very frustrating and obviously not ideal. Does anyone have the same problem and even better found a solution? I'd be very grateful for your incite! Many thanks Chris
  4. Went with a Cooler master hyper 212 black edition and this has made a fantastic difference. Now on full load it stays below 70 degrees C. Thanks all for you help.
  5. Thanks for your help. It looks like a Cit PWM fan controller on Amazon. -The 3 fans which came with the case Gamemax aurora RGB have the correct mini 6 pin connector and plug straight in to the hub. -the fan I want to connect to the hub is a Cooltek silent series fan 120mm ROB 1200rpm
  6. Got a new build PC which came with 3 rgb fans and a fan hub. Increasing the number of fans but the connectors to the rgb fan hub are some sort of small 6 pin connector. Can find them anywhere! Can anyone help? I'm looking for some sort of 4 pin to 6 pin converter maybe?
  7. Turns out ryzen master was running in the background causing raised temps. removed the cooler and replaced it again and tightened it up again. Now idleing at around 40-45 degrees C. Much better even with a modest OC
  8. around 50-55 degrees C idle how tight should the 4 screws on the cooler go? Doin't wanna break the cpu!!
  9. Switched them round... 2 in 1 out now
  10. Gamemaxx Aurora Mid case (very spacious!) Ryzen 5 3600 XFX RX 590 16GB DDR4 3600mhz 3 case fans (1 intake and 2 exhaust)
  11. Hi all, When i leave my PC for a 10 mins my monitor cuts out as normal... but when i wiggle the mouse or tap the keyboard the desktop doesn't appear... instead i get a grey/white static. The only way to get the desktop back is to go in to the monitor menu and change the freesync mode... this gets the desktop back. Running a 34 inch samsung 1440 monitor and an rx 590 via HDMI... R5 3600 with 16GB DDR4 3600 ram. Frustrated!
  12. Hi all, I'm looking for a quiet, value air cooler for my first Ryzen 3600 build. It's running over 60 degrees at idle and pushes 85 degree under load which is high but isn't surprising given the way the 3600 runs hot normally I hear. Only my first build so any recommendations would be great!!
