Problem solved My issues was solved by using Windows Creation Tool to put Windows 10 on a USB stick from a friends Windows 10 computer. Everything I tried on my Linux system ended in failure. However I appreciate everyone who has taken the time to message me with their ideas and possible solutions. Cheers. But If you are having this problem I strongly advise just using Windows Creation Tool before anything else and potentially save yourself a hell of a lot of brain drain and skipping out the very vague windows media driver error on installation. My tip for other people in the future in a similar situation reading this post is that your USB ISO is most probably corrupt or has been written in the wrong way. I think trying Windows Creation Tool is the way to go unless you're trying to install a bent version of Windows 10 on Linux, I would probably check out that Rufus program for that, but you'll still need a Windows computer or a virtual machine running windows I imagine, but luckily I don't need to try that now.

Yeah that's where I got mine. I've been reading past topics on the forums, and the majority it seems had problems with the nvme drivers or having to format the card. So I'll look into those. Tomorrow I shall update the bios and Download all the AMD drivers for this motherboard and have them all at hand and try again. Thats the plan at least. Thanks for your contribution though

Well I'm not sure what you mean. But I downloaded those sata drivers, put them on another drive and tried to run them. I got the message 'no new deceives drivers were found. Make sure the installation media contains the correct drivers.' I have to say I'm only a novice, but I've installed windows a fair few times to different systems and never had an error like this. It's been bugging me all day. Sorry bud.

Hi there, Im new to the forums, and I watch Linus Tech tips on YouTube every now and again and it occurred to me that if anybody might be able to help, its probably this community. Im having trouble installing Windows 10 x64 from a bootable usb drive with windows 10 on, downloaded from the official site, I get a message up saying 'A media driver your computer needs is missing.' If anybody could guide me on the right path, that would be really great. am4 asus x570i is the motherboard, running on a 0246 bios or something Ive done some research, and its something to do with the USB 3 drivers potentially, But Im not sure.. Edit: I just want to add the windows bootable drive is a usb3 32gig sandisk I have another computer running on Linux, and Im a native windows user, so trying to do anything on Linux is proving to be quite tedious.
