My brother thinks my computer is downloading the screen on my other monitor and is therefore lagging the internet for him..

I was playing DayZ SA and we just recruited a new guy. He thought he was all that, and when someone had a Internet lag spike, because DayZ net code is terrible. He said "do you have a desktop or laptop?" Replied "desktop" he then went on to say that, Alienware is the best and the reason we lag is because we have a desktop and didn't buy a Alienware laptop I guess.. I was like errrrr..... He got kicked out of the clan later but not because of this but because he was annoying but yeah. The two were related I think.

I was talking to a friend who had just updated his PC bragging about his pc being the best gaming rig you can buy pretty much and I asked him what graphics card he had. He told me he had a GTX 750ti and tried telling me how it was better then a GTX Titan and was way cheaper talking about how overpriced the GTX Titan is and how his computer could smoke it. In my mind the inner techie was trying so hard not to slap him! Just because it has Ti after it doesn't mean it's the best on the planet!

I'm the only computer literate in my house, and my brother keeps complaining about "lag" and thinks that my computer is stealing his performance somehow. Funny thing is I'm playing offline games a lot and he thinks that my computer is somehow taking away his compute performance.. I tell him it's because he's playing on a crappy laptop but man is it hard to explain computers.

Bought it new on Amazon so I'll see, I'm not sure how good MSI warranty is, but worth a shot.

yes, that kits can be fine, you'll need more matching fittings for the GPU install.
also look into the P280 kit or use the XE280 radiator and piece the kit together.
 
recommend the fractal design define s for a front intake/rad installation.

yeah that will be fine but you'll need extra fitting and tubing.
 
my recommended case is the Fractal Design Define S, plenty of room inside for another radiator if you need it in the future.

Yesterday one of my friends approached my techie friend and I telling us how he just purchased an amazing gaming computer, so he could play games at max settings like us and got am amazing de on a prebuilt after talking with the sale associate from their website. We sneered thinking that the damage wouldn't be too bad.. Turns out he got a sli 960 2gb build and a i5 4350 or something with 8gbs of ram and a 500gb 5400rpm drive. He was telling us how he even convinced them to give him a free T shirt for the low price of $1,700. I literally cried of the horrors. He thought his build woukd beat out my SLI 980 build in my main rig because his was sli like my build....

This is pretty much all you need, wait for the 1080ti or Vega to upgrade your GPU, Going with an i7 7700K isn't going to be much of an upgrade, although waiting to see ryzen is maybe a better option for the money

Add in a 960 Pro if you want an almost uselessly fast SSD for your boot drive instead of RAID 0

Don't blame him, staring down at my i5 is depressing when someone's there with an i7.

I feel like 1080's are pretty overpriced though, I would personally rather get an i7 then the massive amount of money to a 1080 for a small performance boost but that's just me.

Wait the 3-4 years and see the options out at that time.

Why not wait for the 1080 Ti, and get a i7 5820k and a 1080 Ti.
