Looks like those won't tie with the RGB theme. That is why I was wanting to go with water cooling as they will at least be able to controlled by software.

I know that. But, I don't want plain green sticks of ram in a all RGB rig, that will just look awkward.

Yeah, that is what I am stuck with. In my PSU where do I plug in an ATX power cable when it only has 2 x 8 pin and the 24 pin? Can I use the peripherals 6 pin connector /plug in?

Really, I can do that? Reading the manual it says if any overclocking is to be done I will need the 6 pin as well. Anyway, a screen shot of the connectors.

Looking at the MOBO pics it has 2 x 8 pin and a 6 pin, which would mean that I don't have enough cables??? As I can't be plugging in Pce-i cable into that connector???

I was under the impression that I would need another 4+4 cable??? The Crosshair VIII MOBO also has an an extra CPU 4 pin connector on the board and in parts picker it says the power supply is compatible. But when changing the MOBO to Extreme is says it is not, so is this just a parts picker issue and I am good to go with just one 4+4 cable?

Hey All, Just another issue in my attempt to get this build finished. So I destroyed my MOBO again and I decided what the heck, just go all out. And the decision is made to get a ROG Zenith II Extreme and use the new Threadripper EDIT: not 3990X. but the 3970X I already have a power supply which is the Thermaltake Toughpower iRGB PLUS 1250 W 80+ Titanium, but I am getting compatibility issues where the power supply does not have a 4 pin ATX connector. Do I have to get another power supply or can I use another connector with an adapter? The supplied cables in the pic. Web page for the power supply Thermaltake1250w Titanium

Not nice at all. Yeah, I don't think it is fixable. I will definitely need to replace the waterblock, but I can't wait any longer so I already ordered a new MOBO and I will deal with this one. If I get it fixed, I think I will just put on EBay or something like that. Already sunk around 13K into this, so what is another $500? ? But the problem I am having with all this is how weak the plastic threads are.

Hey all, Still trying to get my PC finished and I decided to swap out the MOBO I just bought for a ROG-Crosshair-VIII-Formula with the all in one EK cwater block. So I get new tubes bent and in place and ran a leak test and the fittings that connect to the waterblock had a slow leak from the G1/4 fitting end (Using Thermaltake 90 degree adapter). So I drained the loop and hand tightened the fitting as it was obviously a bad seal and the plastic thread just pulled out, along some of the waterblock (a few mm's of plastic off the top) Are these threads so weak you can't tighten enough to get a proper seal? Anyone have issues with this MOBO?

I am running 2 pumps. Remember the distro has a pump too. But that said, I just switched out the 500cc reservoir for another distro, so running 3 pumps now. Would be easier to buy a pre- made PC or a laptop too.?
