Well that is when the warranty kicks in i guess(if you dont like it). I think if you'll get a replacement psu the whine will be gone on that one. However i dont think that this wine will have an effect in terms of longevity. Ive had an nvidia videocard (from gigabyte i guess) that had insane coil whine under load(much louder than the fan) and vendor was like "its normal no RMA for you". Went to aquainted electronics guy who covered all coils with PCB warnish and all became silent(warranty was tampered obviously). Card worked ok for 3 years(then i sold it)

Because its on higher level in everything - oem enhance+all japan caps. If you can afford V550w its not even a discussion

In terms of longevity - cooler master masterwatt550(maybe bronze too if it is built on the same platform)>Corsair cx500m>all mwe stuff(not very well known oem+caps from "elite" all over the place reputation is not very good). However terms of warranty matter too.

No the platform itself and build quality are mediocre at least. And this particular psu has lot of reviews with problems in my country - the fan dont start, noises from the fan\electricals...

This psu will be enough(at least while its new), but it is really not the best choice.

Chieftec nowadays uses 2 oems for their psus - CWT and Sirtec. Although i never seen a really bad psu that came from sirtec, cwt likes compromises quality-wise(and i think that is why the brand has its specific place in psu tier list). Chieftec is popular in post soviet countries after the fall of fsp thats why most of the reviews are from Russia\Ukraine. Op's psu is made by sirtec and is ok in general, but it is not seasonic by all means(group stabilization, teapo caps...).
