  1. Oh thanks, I don't do much forum, so the moving thing took me too long to figure out.
  2. Didn't Linus "accidentally" leak his credit card info and then cancel it? I think someone's being preemptive.
  3. It all makes sense now. Linus has (preemptively) confessed to having an Ashley Madison account on the latest WAN-show and claimed that someone else had used his E-Mail address to register without his knowledge, stating that the site doesn't send a confirmation E-Mail. Following that logic the legitimacy of that account cannot be proven. However! The accounts' respective credit card information that is among the data that was leaked CAN be used to prove identity. Recently Linus "accidentally" had his credit card visible in a photo on twitter Instagram and stated in a video that he had to cancel said credit card because of that. That raises the question whether he purposely leaked his credit card information, knowing that it might be leaked by the hackers. Thank you for reading. I leave you with this: 1+1=sausage~illuminati
  4. I bought an MHL adapter/cable for my S5, but quickly came to the realization that it's impossible to properly output HDMI in portrait mode to make use of my monitor's pivot-capability. I'm a noob at smartphones and MHL, so I'll ask for help here, before I end up smashing my monitor and ramming my knee into my smartphone out of frustration. To me using a MHL to increase my smartphone's screen size just so I end up wasting more than two thirds of the monitor real estate on black bars is frustrating as fuck. Thanks for your help. (maybe. I couldn't find an example of someone being helped with this kind of problem.)
  5. I'd use it to write YouTube-comments and to play taxing 8bit games and to emulate old consoles. I'm also probably going to watch one or more Videos on it and if I get it, I'll just watch 6 videos at once, because.
  6. Remote Desktop or any kind of Streaming would make the experience unbearable for me and a wireless keyboard might be a good solution, but it's already nearly impossible to find a proper (btw I'm German) 60/75% keyboard with a DE-layout, much less one with some kind of evil wireless wizardry... And when I have to have USB for the keyboard anyway, I might as well have a USB-mouse. I've thought about a mounted solution, but sadly I'll most likely be moving and moving stuff around for the next few years, so it can't be something "immovable". It should still be less effort than simply moving the table with computer and everything to the bed.
  7. Hello, I'm at my wits end, so I'll make this short: What I need is a monitor that I can put on my lap to which I can attach a mouse and a small keyboard via a Hub or something. It would be best if you could somehow attach a keyboard to a plate and still have some space for a small mouse on that plate, while the plate is somehow connected to the Monitor so you can "close" it for easy carrying. Being able to secure it, so it doesn't open unintentionally would be helpful, but isn't needed. I'm fine with makeshift-solutions as long as they don't require skill to make and aren't too expensive. I only don't want to carry every component individually and I want the monitor to stand on a shaky and uneven surface (my lap). I don't want a Laptop, because I can't afford that shit. I'm not Bill fucking Gates and I already have a decent computer that works perfectly fine and has everything I need on it. What I want is to simply plug in a monitor-keyboard-mouse combo into my computer, so I can sit on my bed while using my computer. I'm not going to leave my room anyway and I'd prefer it, if I didn't have to sit on the same rock hard chair for ten hours straight. Thanks in advance for your help and laptops are overpriced and retarded.
  8. While I do not embody the spirit of the Linustechtips community, I have plenty of greed to make up for it. Wait, that came out wrong. The YouTube-channel helped me get in touch with the world of hardware that became a bigger factor in my life since... I can remember (actually not quite as much). Thanks to your enlightenment I have since made smarter buying decisions as opposed to my past failures and it helped me reflect on the youthful ignorance and witlessness of my past self. The world needs people like you, Luke and Edzel, but you mostly to diffuse the sheer marketing nonsense that the industry can come up with and translate those towering numbers into meaningful and sensible data. When the marketing wolves lead me astray and made me waste a shit-ton of money, your videos lead me back onto the path of making educated purchasing decisions. I only have to say that your case reviews are a little too condensed for me and my imagination can't follow your sheer output of information in my sleep deprived state. I really enjoyed it whenever you practically displayed the information. Yup, that's about it. Also Techquickie is a nice way to learn some simple things about the hardware and software you're constantly using.
  9. You can make people in your photos wear funny hats... Yeah, Linus loves it, so it must be good. I like that dbrand uses the less eye cancer inducing lettered social widgets.
  10. I wanted to make a Ryouken pun, but I decided to look it up first and realized it was Shoryuken.... For whatever reason I decided to mix up "Rising Dragon Fist" and "Bloodhound" . But yeah, Telekom here in Germany are dickheads, too. Actually the rivals are pieces of shit, too... I swear German telecom companies must be holding competitions over how much they can treat you like dirt before you leave. Of course if you switch, it will result in you being cut off from the outside world for months, which can be a death sentence depending on your job. People's lives were completely ruined by that. (My mother is a freelancer that has to be available 24/7 through phone and E-mail and lost a lot of good jobs that way) PS: Telekom basically owns all the lines and is forced by law to allow other companies to rent those lines, but it purposely sabotages stuff and delays stuff to make matters even worse. Of course they pretend that they had some accident and the like.
  11. What about simple stuff like the mobo not supporting features and configurations so that f.e. RAM is forced to clock down etc. I think that was my problem. I had cheap RAM that got clocked even slower. Also my Phenom II was pretty crappy, too...
  12. I thought that once and bought pretty much the cheapest crap I could find (online). That was a stupid idea. Motherboards can cause performance issues (below a certain price-point). But most of the time performance issues like these are caused by viruses, Adware and random garbage and residue. If you can install a fresh OS on a clean drive and suddenly it's all working well again, then it's obviously a software/virus issue. It's also possible that the hard drive is or became the problem. (Or both) I also had issues with my hard drive before and simply couldn't find the source of my performance issues, because I didn't consider storage devices... (Also I love that W8 shows drive read&write performance^^)
