  1. My bad, Im a computer science major so coding would be a pretty big decision maker. As far as windows programs go, I plan to be using excel, PowerPoint, & excel quite a bit.
  2. Hey all, Im a college student and my Surface Book 2 is starting to slow me down, I'm currently running an dual core i5-7300 w/8gb ram. I have been contemplating getting the macbook pro 14-inch with the M1 pro processor & 16gb ram and everything else that it comes along with. But I really like the windows interface and was wondering if there was a solid windows competitor that offered matching or better specs around the same price range of about 2 grand. I personally couldn't find anything that came close to having the build quality, performance, battery life, and light weightiness of the macbook. Please let me know if there is anything compelling that comes to mind.
  3. SSDs are faster than SATAs right? And thank you ALOT for the help!!!
  4. There will be an image below showing the parts that I have chosen and what the issues/warnings mean (my dad wants a PC for a bunch of office work and his budget is around 2k, not for gaming, and wants it future proofed for a couple of years) The screenshot is from PC part picker
  5. lol this is not a troll, thank you guys for the help that was much quicker than I thought! Again thank you aIot!! I apologise for my stupidity, lol.
  6. I want to build a productive PC -- no gaming, just for emails, documents, PDFs -- but I want it to be fast and future proofed. With a curved screen and I just wanted to see what you guys/gals recommend. I was thinking about going with the AMD Ryzen 9 3900x, with 32gbs of high performance ram and a fast 500gb SSD. Anything is appreciated, and thank you for your time!!
