Hey all!
I currently have a AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB (Sapphire Nitro+) and I just bought a AMD Radeon 6700 XT 12GB (also Sapphire Nitro+)(I paid $1,096.20 for it (after tax) from Newegg if anyone was wondering). I know just plugging in a new GPU can cause driver conflicts and in turn, cause other issues.
So I was wondering, should I delete the current GPU drivers and let the new one load it’s own? I should mention that I am using AMD’s software, I think it’s called Adrenalin? It takes care of driver updates, can record gameplay, edit how your GPU works, etc. Would the program just update the drivers immediately so I don’t have to do anything? I Googled it but didn’t really get a clear answer. I don’t really want to uninstall the program and have to reinstall it and lose all of my settings. Does the program have a built in feature that can do this? I looked a bit, but didn’t see anything along those lines.
Thank you for any help or insight!
