Aight thank you. Looked again through everything I have, didn't find anything like that. Probably lost it since I moved since I built the tower. Guess I'll bite the bullet and order from amazon. Thank you all

I'm pretty sure there's a Metric and an Imperial threading for them, but I forget specifics. With all the boards I've used M.2 drives on (which granted, are mostly limited to ASRock and ASUS boards) the screws have been interchangeable though. You might just have an oddball motherboard that doesn't work with it. Speaking of which, what board do you have, and if you have the original accessories pack are there M.2 screws that came with it?

I mean, I can't really tell a reason why it wouldn't be viable and I have personally done it for quick and dirty testing of M.2 drives, but with how cheap you can get mounting hardware why not just do it? I could be wrong and not having the right amount of tension on the pins can cause issues down the road with stability.

You can buy m.2 mounting hardware and screws off Amazon for cheap. Also, the motherboard is what the screws come with, not the drives.

Male/Female connector. I understand it perfectly describes the type of connector but I believe there are more elegant ways to describe it instead of making me imagine certain human organs whenever I deal with connectors.

This is usually the place that I talk about how the weather is getting hotter and the like. We have moved past that a little and the majority of the summer is now behind us. But yet we are here with the "summer" folding sprint. There are many reasons why someone may want to fold, to win prizes, for the bragging rights and hopefully the drive to support the furthering of human knowledge. No matter the reason why you fold, you are welcome here.

    What is Folding@Home
Folding@home is a network of volunteer computers distributed around the world that aims to perform biomedical research with the single intent of helping to further understand and develop cures for a range of diseases such as; Alzheimer's, cancer, and Parkinson's and most recently COVID19. The exact research that is done is simulating the 'folding' of proteins in the body, this is important because the function of a protein id directly related to its physical shape. And this, when the protein is created in the body it needs to reshuffle its shape to get into the correct structure to perform its task. Many illnesses can be linked to faulty proteins in the body such as many cancers and neurological issues, along with a wide number of other general health concerns.

    PASSKEYS! (they're really important)

Don't forget to get yourself a passkey from the link below to ensure that you hit the points requirement, the passkey is a feature that was added a while ago to the Folding Client that helps to authenticate each user on the network, an added bonus of this is the fact that it allows you to qualify for QRB(Quick Return Bonus) Points, QRBs are extra points you earn for submitting work units more quickly, such as if you have faster hardware or let the client fold full time, rather than on idle. QRB credit is awarded after 10 WUs have been submitted. You can get your passkey from the link below.
    https://apps.foldingathome.org/getpasskey

Please remember that I will be writing my usual daily update blog once the event kicks off, the blog can be found linked below.

This is just a PSA, the folding team is historically a small close knit community, so here's a few things I'd like you all to keep in mind. It doesn't hurt to say thank you, if someone has genuinely helped you out don't forget to drop a reaction on their posts, help others where ever you can and finally we are a team first and always.

Check your stats out here! Bare in mind it can take some time for your first WUs to appear so leave it a day or two.

If you are signing up for the summer folding sprint please make sure you have the 'case' of the letters in your folding name correct, it messes  up the script that gets the daily points if it's wrong. I've already caught a couple that were wrong but we can't guarantee to catch all of them.

"Arguing you don't care about the right to privacy because you have nothing to hide is no different than saying you don't care about freedom of speech because you have nothing to say."
    Edward Snowden

In this day and age, privacy is a joke. Literally. I've joked about it with friends, family, and random people from the internet. It's become an expectation to be spied on by the government, companies, and random people.

This guide will help you be more private, anonymous and secure online
I want to help you make it harder for people to spy, keep records, target you etc. on you.

If you have anything to say about this, don't be afraid to say something. I'm a big boy who can take CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Don't complain without saying how it could be better
    4 Notes
1: There will be links to videos and websites, I am not affiliated with these people or companies. They are another resource, to fact check, go into more detail, or be presented in a way that you prefer or like better.
2: The idea of privacy being a right, and privacy in general, can be political. My belief is that privacy is for everyone, regardless of who they are.
3: No solution is 100% bullet proof. The way you type, the way you talk, the way you use a mouse, what you search for, can all be traced back to you. I wouldn't worry about those micro things, unless you're Snowden.
4: Privacy is not always convenient. It's up to you if you want to be completely anonymous (or almost) online. Even if you just stop using some of Google's services, that reduces your online foot print and creation of data.

    Network connections (VPNs, Tor)
    Browser and Search Engine
    Social Media
    Phone Security
    Computer security (desktops and laptops)
    Additional resources
This is a work in progress. I encourage feedback. I want this to be the ultimate written privacy and anonymity guide.
I will continue adding onto this in the future.
