I think we need one of those active mDP adapters I just want to make sure before I spend 25 - 30 $ on one.

Some people like to throw more mods than you have, at Skyrim, and have a higher demand for more VRAM.

Your case is specific to your needs, you could use more mods, and cripple that card, hence More VRAM would be ideal for you..., other people have different needs...and require more VRAM in those cases of throwing as many mods at it as possible or finding their sweetspot of Visuals VS Gameplay Experience/Performance
I don't mean to be rude or come across that way, but just because you have no need for it, doesn't mean others fall into that same category. Whether you think it's worth it or not, we all have different opinions, and yours is valid for your experience.

Just like no one 'needed' hard drives bigger than a few GBs 20 years ago.
Just like no one 'needed' more than 1GB of system RAM 10 years ago.
Just like no one 'needed' a car with great gas mileage 30 years ago.
Just like no one 'needed' a computer at all 40 years ago.
Just like no one 'needed' central heat and air conditioning in their caves in B.C. times.
Heck, we don't 'need' a lot of things. We do 'want' them though, and seeing as most people here are enthusiasts (or up-and-coming enthusiasts), we have demands that far outpace what the typical consumer has. There are a lot of situations that require bigger frame buffers, even 8GB ones. Many surround set-ups, even at 1080p, 1440p, or 1600p easily max out the 4GB frame buffers we have today. And you keep dismissing 4k, and all I am wondering is why. 4k is the next up and coming standard, it it WILL need bigger frame buffers to hold the assets for it. Even though, debateably, 1 card can't run 4k smoothly VRAM doesn't stack when you use SLI/Crossfire. In an SLI/Crossfire config, the frame buffer has to be replicated between the two cards, so if you have 2 4GB cards, you don't have an 8GB frame buffer, you have 2 4GB frame buffers that are identical. In hard drive speak, it's a RAID 1 between the card's frame buffers, not a RAID 0. So if someone wanted to get into 4k gaming, or 4k video editing, or 4k anything, these bigger frame buffer cards will be needed.

After this staggering evidence i'm sure everyone is convinced. Let's call it a day shall we, because clearly arguing is not your strong suit.

To elaborate; showing a static picture of a semi-OK framerate in a game without any indication of what settings or frametime consistency is absolutely pointless.

THis is completely besides the point. Also why would you not mod 4k textures if skyrim does not have 4k textures yet you run it at 4k? Serously.

You need to be less hostile but if I had to make a rebuttal allow me to say this: Calling someone clueless when you yourself say 100% horseshit info at time is kinda embarrassing

My modded skyrim @ 1080p was maxing out my 3 GBs of vram. What are you even talking about? Of course we're going to need large frame buffers, Linus has said this multiple times. As games progress they require more and more amounts of vram. You sound like Bill Gates; '640KB of ram is all we'll ever need'  <_<

You will NOT make hundreds of dollars a month following most these methods. You can however easily make $25 to $40 or more a month with little or no effort.

If you do a little research some people who have been doing it for a long time make over $20 an hour, not saying that they get $100 if they work 5 straight hours, but maybe they do.
Any money you make can be either redeemed for cash or deposited into your Amazon account as a gift card.

These are the ways I personally get money/gift cards put into my Amazon account, which I am currently building up to build a new system.
Some of the ways are super easy and require nothing. Some take more time, but yield greater rewards.
I would refer these ways to anybody, however I am not saying that you should switch from Google to Bing if you don't like Bing and I am not looking for any fanboyism towards either site, so please don't.

If you have any other ways to get Amazon gift cards for *free then please post them and I will try them out and add them to the list if they are worth while.
If you see any errors please let me know and I will fix them.
I hope you enjoyed this and can make some Amazon spending money from it

Swagbucks is another one. It's similar to Bing in that when you use their search engine you have the chance of collecting "Swagbucks" in which you can redeem for rewards (such as Amazon gift cards). There are other ways of earning Swagbucks on their website as well I believe.
