  1. Good point. I tried both, no signal in either case ?. New cheap CPU is arriving tomorrow. I'll try with that one. Fingers crossed
  2. Hi! Thanks for your reply. I may try to contact their tech support. I don't live in the US tho so I need to check if they have a support number in my country. Anyway, regarding the pic of the manual you posted: I think I still need to access the bios menu to follow that procedure. And I cant, cause I literally get nothing on my monitor. Any suggestions?
  3. Hi! Thanks for your reply. I've checked the procedure you linked, but it seems I still need to see the Bios menu to do that, and I currently don't get any signal on the monitor. So I'm sure i can use a flash drive for the update but if i can't see the bios menu on the monitor then it's not the solution for me any suggestions? Do you think I will be able to update it with an older CPU? I remember I used the exact same mobo for another build, with an 8th generation CPU and I did not get this issue at all
  4. Hello everyone! This is my first post here. Hope this is the right section. So here's the problem: I just built a pc. Once I start it, I get no signal on the monitor. My motherboard is an Asus Rog B360-F. On the motherboard there are a few leds: Boot, VGA, RAM (and a 4th one I don't exactly remember now). According to the manual, these leds turn (and stay) on if there is an issue. In my case the VGA led turns on and, as I said, I get nothing on my monitor. I can't access the BIOS or anything else. Fulls specs of the PC: -CPU: i5 9600k -GPU: asus strix 1060 6gb -MoBo: Asus Rog B360-F (note: the mobo is actually new but I bought it over a year ago and never used it) -Ram 16 gb rgb corsair -PSU: evga B3 550 watt Bronze -CPU cooler: Cooler master 212x -Sandisk 480gb SSD For the record: I know that my MoBo doesn't allow overclocking but I bought the 9600k rather than the 9600 cause in my country's amazon, the 9600k costed less, so I got that one. Now, I know that the 9600k is compatible with my mobo, but I also just found out that most likely the MoBo may need a Bios update to actually recognize that cpu. Do you think this is the reason why I don't get signal on my monitor, and the VGA led turns on? Keep in mind that I've also tried disconnecting everything from the mobo (except the CPU and 1 stick of Ram). I should still get signal on my monitor because this CPU has integrated intel graphics, but I still get the same result. No signal. The only difference is that in this case also the "Boot Led" turns on on the mobo. If I reconnect the SSD this led doesn't turn on. So that should be no biggie. So I'm pretty sure the issue is that the mobo doesn't read the CPU because of an old Bios version. What do you think about it? Do you agree with me that this is the problem? Does it make sense that the VGA led turns on for this reason? I've now ordered a cheap CPU (intel celeron 4920) that I will use to boot the PC and update the mobo bios. I checked the Asus website and this cpu should be recognized by the mobo even with the old BIOS version. Once the bios is updated, I will switch back to the i5 9600k . Do you think this will solve the problem? I'd appreciate your opinion on the matter!
