  1. So while I was doing some multitasking work on my pc it froze up. This has happened before so I did a hard reboot like usual but when the pc started up again it could find the OS and I was greeted with a blue screen and an error code (see images). I got a windows repair drive but it couldn’t find an issue and viewing my boot drive says it still detects the drive my OS is on (an M.2 drive I installed a few months ago). The motherboard has error lights on for VGA and BOOT (see images). Does anyone know a way to fix this without reinstalling my OS. There are some very important files on there that I don’t have a backup of. Thank you.
  2. I don't have the boxes with me where I am so I cant check the part numbers, but I did order them at the same time and as far as I'm aware both kits are exactly the same.
  3. Hey guys I've been having this weird issue lately where my pc will become less responsive and then freeze up forcing me to do a hard reset every time. The part I don't get is that this only seems to happen when I'm multitasking a lot of smaller programs (watching video on one monitor while browsing or doing work on the other etc.) it's never happened while it's just focused on a single large program (gaming). I think it might be a memory issue but I'm unsure and don't know how to test it, I've tried updating my BIOS and CPU but that doesn't seem to of done much. Any help would be greatly appreciated, Thank you. Specs: CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: 1080Ti Motherboard: ASRock X570M Pro4 RAM: 32GB (4 x 8GB) GSkill Trident 3200Mhz (I used 2 2 x 8GB kits don't know if that's important or not) PSU: Corsair SF600 OS BOOT drive is a m.2 SSD (again don't know if it's important or not)
  4. I just swapped the m.2 drives around and now they're both showing up, not 100% what the reason was for this but the issue seems to be fixed now. Thanks for the help.

  6. I've just upgraded to a new CPU and motherboard and one of my M.2 drives isn't being detected. I'm not sure if there is a fault or a compatability issue. 8. Sounds like a good choice, I've never had an AMD CPU before but I know they're pulling ahead of intel at the moment. I checked the list of compatible micro ATX motherboards and they've got some good choices at decent prices. It sounds like a great suggestion, thank you.
  9. I've really only used for gaming and general stuff. I haven't pushed it to its max or taken advantage of its more technical features.
  10. I've been using an i7-7800x for gaming for a couple of years now and I think it's a great CPU (especially since I got it pretty cheap), but I'm looking to reduce the size of my giant desktop tower and the number of compatible small form-factor X299 motherboards is very limited. can anyone suggest a roughly similar CPU but with a better price-to-performance ratio and a larger choice of compatible motherboards. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you. My specs: i7-7800x Corsair hydro CPU cooler GTX 1080 Ti 16GB of RAM (planning on upgrading) 2 x M.2 SSD's 2 x SATA SSD's Corsair SF600 PSU
