I think what @oo2k15 means is that you could place the phone on the charging mat leaving the lightning connector free for an audio connection.

Definitely a good value. If you can get a lower end configuration with 16gb ram, new i7 Kaby lake processor, 512gb storage, improved battery life, backlit keyboard, usb-c that let you connect to external desktop graphics(although you'll be limited to that cpu) and QHD touchscreen just for $1399. Is pretty good value if I must say. Not to mention the slim and portable design of it is also a huge plus. Personally I wouldn't go with 4k though on a such a small display and not to mention how much faster it drain your battery life. I've seen linus review on the previous razer blade stealth and I agreed with his sentiment.

It's a frikin' usb cable dude, you can just buy a usb 3 extension cable to make it longer : http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1 8000&IsNodeId=1&Description=usb 3 male to female extension cable&bop=And&page=1
You can probably also find a longer cable like the one that's provided with the usb switch, it's a standard connector, i just don't remember exactly which is it.
As for the power supply, the cable from power adapter to dc jack is long enough, but alternatively you can just buy a longer power supply cable and put the switch power supply under the desk somewhere. The power supply uses the standard connector used by atx power supplies, check the pictures in the newegg description.
Here's loads of power supply cables compatible : http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100172185 8000&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&ActiveSearchResult=True&Order=RATING&PageSize=30

If you go corsair AIO, get the H100i V2 (240) or the H115i (280). those are their newest ones. I own a H100i V2 and the pump is completely silent. I do not hear it whatsoever and I use my computer with it sitting at head level right beside me.

As far as is liquid AIO better than air cooling? typically yes. but its also typically more expensive. Most AIO's are maintenance free (such as the corsair ones) and last for several years. Its also like ryanmmax said, the difference isn't all that severe, often being only a few degrees vs a decent air cooler and a decent AIO. I like my H100i V2 though, its real quiet, real good, and looks real nice! =)

oo2k15 reacted to deWaardt in When shutting down pc do I turn the monitor off too?
No, the monitor will go in standby.
In order to turn it off you have to press the power button on the monitor.

If you turn off your PC, your monitor will stop receiving signal, and thus goes into standby mode.
If you turn your PC on again, it will receive signal again, go out of standby mode and spring back to life.

In standby mode the monitor is not turned off, it's just not displaying anything and the backlight goes off.

I always turn off my monitor because I don't see why I would leave it on.
When I'm finished using an electronic device I always turn it off, with the exception of my smartphone.

It saves power and increases lifespan (even though ever so slightly).

Very simple! Install Windows 10, install your drivers, and your done!
Windows 10 will take care of everything automatically.

Any "optimization" that you may read online, is just total crap.

The only thing you can do, is disable the startup delay feature as you have an SSD. Basically, when Windows loads your account, normally, it loads your startup background programs (like Steam, Skype, A/V, etc. that you might have). Since Windows 8, Microsoft added a fake delay, to allow Windows to fully load on systems with an HDD or slow SSD (like tablets with eMMC memory), so that the experience for the user is fully loaded, and can interact with the system while startup background programs are loaded.
Sadly, it doesn't detect your system SSD speed to decide if it should disable it or not.

All you have to do, for each account on your system (if multiple of them), go to:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Serialize
    Then double click on: Startupdelayinmsec
And set the value to 0, and log-out and log-back in, or restart your system.

That thing is bulky as hell. But 5tb of storage for $130 is a bargain for sure. But I don't like all that unnecessary clutter of cords that it comes included(power supply, power cord, usb cord). I like the simplicity of plug in and play.
I completely forgot this was a thing. I might use this if I have a spare hdd/ssd lying around.

Not even 144hz 1080p but even 2k monitor for that matter. But yeah reason I wanna buy this monitor is I never use a 21:9 aspect ratio ultrawide screen before and I wanna try something new for a change. For me I don't usually upgrade monitor that often since there's really no incentive to. Monitor tends to last you for a long time just like how tv is, take a look at my current monitor as an example. But yeah thanks for your input though, really helpful in making my decision easier.
