You want good memory(VRAM type, capacity, and bit width) and a good core clock.  I'd say when choosing which GPU to buy that it's more important to look at benchmark results and see where a GPU lies in comparison with others.

    After you get it
Run GPU-Z to check that it's running at all the correct specs, run some benchmarks and games to make sure it's getting a ballpark framerate/thermal reading/usage.

You should run some kind of benchmark or stress test. A good free one is MSI Kombustor.

Not sure what else to suggest man. Might be a long shot but maybe a fresh re-install of windows can sometimes fix random issues.

I am so with this, the logitech UE 600's are my favorite IEM that I have ever owned but in like 3 weeks of using them the cord started pulling out of the inline mic, I had to tape it up to keep it together not only that but these stupid controls don't work with android, fuck in line controllers.

I see this thread is still going. Read the first few pages.

    The word scummy was ill-chosen.

But the simple fact ramains that if everyone blocked the ads in my content Linus Tech Tips wouldn't exist. Period.

Those suggesting that I complain to Google... Do you think I can just call up Eric Schmidt and let him know I don't like the way they implement ads on YouTube? I laughed out loud.

YouTube isn't perfect but it's my best shot at running a viable business here so I can pay my employees and feed my family, so that's what I use. Those of you who opt to consume the content without supporting it, fine you're not "scummy". Come up with your own word for it

The mostly finished product. Mounted on the wall. Still need to dress some cables but I can't complete that until I actually fill the tank, which probably won't be for a while unfortunately. I don't want to go through the hassle and make a huge mess when I'll likely be moving again in under 6 months. Ah well, just imagine the curtain of bubbles behind the glass for now.

He started saying that to people who gave no background on what their setup was currently as a quick answer to a question without much information. He kept saying it because people kept asking the same question without background information, and because he doesn't really know what else is out there.

This isn't a "Linus recommends Xonar soundcards and only Xonar soundcards because they're the best thing out there" situation that people like you keep thinking it is. Sorry to disappoint, but Linus isn't all knowing.
