  1. Please just stop replying to this thread as you have added nothing of help this entire time. Thank you.
  2. What? I never said it wasn't the TV. I already went and got a new TV confirming that it wasn't the specific TV I had and that it was any of this model. How the hell would telling me something I just verified help? I appreciate you're trying to help but I'm getting rather frustrated with this as I've been at it all day and you just repeating something I already said and verified doesn't help. You literally quoted me saying I verified that and then told me it again. Why?
  3. Huh? That changes nothing in regards to what I just said.
  4. You must not have read the rest of my posts where I already said I didn't think that was the issue. I've also already said I ruled that out, so telling me that doesn't help anything. on a side note when I go to make a custom resolution in the radeon settings it won't let me set it to 60hz saying that it's not compatible. The tv is 60hz native and it shows up as an option in my display adapter properties. At this point If no one has any other ideas I'm about ready to say they false advertised and this tv does not in fact support hdmi 2.0.
  5. UPDATE: I have returned the TV and gotten a new one (same model) and it seems that the issues are continuing. I will now focus my efforts onto my gpu and maybe any issues with AMD could be causing. If anyone has anymore insight on this it would be greatly appreciated. Maybe I'm missing something in the Radeon settings? GPU is a gigabyte 5700 xt currently on the latest drivers.
  6. I know how businesses run and no it's not a different thought pattern. The goal is money. If you can get the same job done in the same amount of time and pay less, you're gonna do that. Business does not just ignore cost for a brand name. Business does not ignore costs. PERIOD. What you are saying is absolutely moronic. People in this thread have already linked many sites and vendors selling equal or greater machines for the same price or less. No company is going to pay more just for the sake of it. That's how you go bankrupt FFS.
  7. Damn that didn't work either. I'm starting to think the tech support dumby might have been right. I don't understand why it just wouldn't work when it is definitely supported. It's almost like the TV's hdmi 1.4 is working but not the 2.0 (if that's even possible, I don't know how the hardware works)
  8. Damn I was really hoping that was it but for some reason there is no "pc" preset. There is a bunch of other ones and I tried most of them but to no avail. I just got off the phone with insignia's support. The guy had no clue what he was talking about and was just putting me on hold to read up FAQ's so I don't know how much I can trust his judgment but he thinks the TV it's self and that I should return it for a new one. but his reasoning is "it says right here it can do 60hz no problem." so he clearly has no clue what he's talking about. I'm gonna continue to try and troubleshoot this a little more before I just try returning it for a new one (cus I mean literally no harm done there other than my time to drive to town)
  9. yes..... I obviously read any and all material that came with the TV. (which was VERY limited)
  10. Yes only 3 HDMI ports I have not been able to find any option like this.
  11. So I recently purchased a 50" 4k insignia TV (model #NS-50DF710CA19). It says it is a native 60hz resolution. From what I can tell, streamed 4k content indeed seems to be at 60hz. My issue is I cannot get it to display anything at 60hz through my pc. It just says no input when I try. (other than 1080p specifically on hdmi3). my GPU is a 5700xt which is hdmi 2.0 capable. I just bought a brand new 2.0 certified hdmi cable. I've tried all the different hdmi ports on my tv, and changing every setting ( and back again) that I could think of in the display settings on my pc and tv including setting the hdmi to 2.0 on the tv. Yet every time I try switching it to 60hz it just displays nothing. No matter the resolution (except 1080p did go 60hz on hdmi 3 after some struggling.). I'm out of any options or troubleshooting that I can think of. If anyone can spread some light on the issue it would be greatly appreciated! Edit: I just noticed when I try to create a custom resolution in my amd radeon software is says it's not compatible if I try and set it to 60hz. but why?
