  2. thanks a lot for your suggestion @Bobotie1 I would prefer not to buy an additional cooler just to fix this problem. If the problem can't be fixed, I'll have to check if I can get the card replaced, since it should be covered by the warranty...
  3. Thanks for your answer @Bobotie1! Unfortunately I can't leave it as is because the sound is really loud, so I can't basically use my pc at night... Is it possible to buy a separate cooler?
  4. Hi everyone, I have a fan problem with my Gigabyte GTX 1660 super gaming OC (3 cooling fans). At some point, the 1st and 2nd fans start spinning very fast, while the 3rd fan is not spinning at all. The sound is really loud, like a vacuum cleaner as you can see (and listen to) in the video below: In order to investigate the issue, I used the Aorus Engine tool and used the default fan profile, as shown below: This didn't solve the problem. Then I saw this similar post using MSI Afterburner's default profile so I decided to raise the idle fan speed from 0% to 5%. Now the fans never stop spinning completely so I run into this problem less frequently. Hence, I guess the problem is mostly caused when the fans try to completely stop spinning. Some further info: The problem happens only when the fans try to stop spinning. When the fans are idle and then start spinning because of a rise in temperature, both 3 fans spin without a problem. I have updated the nvidia drivers and the gpu bios to the latest version but that didn't fix the problem. When not using any custom fan configuration but having Aorus Engine open, I noticed something strange: When the 1st and 2nd fan were spinning (but not the 3rd), the tool displayed the fan speed as 0% (as if no fan was spinning). Also, when at this weird state, fans 1 and 2 spun even faster (and louder) than when configured to spin at 100%. Also, when in that state, restarting my pc doesn't fix the problem (fans 1 and 2 keep spinning). The only way to stop the fans is either turn off the pc or give a gentle tap to the 3rd fan (the one that isn't spinning). Then, it starts spinning for a split second and then both 3 fans stop spinning altogether (until boh 3 fans start spinning again when the temperature rises, without a problem). Despite partly "fixing" the problem with the custom profile, I would like to know your thoughts, if you have encountered anything similar (e.g. maybe this post) and possible ways that I can fix the issue (if possible).   11. Hi everyone! I'm building my first pc and what seemed like a straightforward step (installing the cpu cooler), now seems impossible. I'm trying to install Cooler Master Hyper 212 (Black) on Asus TUF gaming X570. The cooler includes an AM4 bracket (B in image) and the necessary stand offs (C in image). The motherboard already comes with a backplate (A in image) but in order to add the plastic bracket that came with the cooler, the motherboard backplate must be removed, otherwise adding the plastic one under the mobo backplate won't work because the screws of the plastic bracket are too short. I don't want to remove the mobo backplate and the user manual advises against it as well. As a result, I can't use the standoffs (C in image) to mount the cooler. I think I need different standoffs, similar to D in the image (although those are for intel sockets so they are larger than the holes of the motherboard backplate. In this post, it's suggested to buy the upgrade kit from cooler master and just use the screws. Would this make sense in my case? Also, I can't seem to find this kit in stock anywhere. This seems way too complicated to be true so I think I'm missing the whole picture. Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
