I am fine with people who do not understand tech and need help, it's the ones that don't understand tech and act as if you're wrong all the time. My uncle being one of them, he acts as if Iphones are the only way forward, denying anyone can do any damage to them in terms of 'hacking', or malware. Same goes for OSX in his opinion. He denies any other Android phone is even as close to as good as Iphones, if something is wrong with his laptop he runs to me to help, which is fun; until I tell him his HDD is screwed and he says he'll get his other mate to help as they know more. Makes me wana drink bleach, mixed with more bleach.

A funny note is when I was trying to teach my mum to use a PC, I said to open a new tab(assuming she at least knew this as she worked in an internet cafe for 2 years) and she presses the on/off button. Made me laugh for a good while.

Thank you both, I agree with @Plouffe and would personally go with this build but she is adamant that if she is paying this much she wants it to "look nice" and argues she doesn't want to play AAA titles on maximum settings. I appreciate the input from both of you! I think I will go with @boggy77's build simply due to the looks, I guess they can always upgrade the GPU in the future if they need too...

made some changes to keep the case and rbg, but add in a 1660 super. although I would go with @Plouffe's build, it will perform much better.

Hmm, something is screaming GFX drivers to me here; have you tried using an even older version of the drivers? Or better yet using your intergrated GFX quickly? I'd personally try to use your intergrated GFX to rule out your GPU. If this is happening with two different browsers it must be either flash player or your GPU/GFX drivers.

After watching the last WAN show and hearing Linus rambling about how long it takes to shoot B-Roll, I wonder if you guys would be interested in a video (series) about producing a LTT video?

    e.g.
Part 1) selecting a product for review
    Part 2) writing a script / preparation
    Part 3) filming
Part 4) editing (Edzel/Brandon could lead through their standard editing steps)
    Part 5) etc ...

    And there you go
See how UAC is not a waste, and helps you be more protected?
Now your problem is not solved, as you have that program that tries to run the malware every time you startup your system. It just fails to do so.
If it doesn't show on the Task Manager, then it not running*. Why a "*"? Because they are infection that, if you don't have a UEFI system with an OS that fully support UEFI (Windows 8 and above), with Secure Boot. It can change the boot system and boot the virus first, gaining supervisor mode of the CPU (you can only have 1), and then start Windows. Under this mode, the virus has full access to your memory, your security software and Windows. It can change/ignore CPU instructions from your anti-virus to make it act like everything is fine and no virus exists, and is completely hidden from Windows from knowing as it is not a program that Windows runs. Very scary. The good news, is that today this is exactly rare, and not widespread distributes due to the high complexity of developing such infection. But action is taken now so that you don't have a black market selling one that was made, as by the time it becomes an issue, everyone should be under UEFI based system, hopefully. Only companies with very slow upgrade cycles are at risk, but too bad for them., they are probably still Windows XP.
Anyway, in your case based on the screen shots, I don't get why you have 4 Google updater. I would remove all of them. And added to these 4 ones, you have a 5th one at startup.
I am sure one of them is legit as your Chrome, but it is easy for a malware with admin rights to just replace the Google Updater exe with it's malware. I mean it is easiest way to hide it. Great number of people have Chrome. The most popular web browser in the world. Perfect hiding spot.
Also, I don't see how Nvidia ShowdowPlay is Microsoft related? Suspicious?
And you have other things I don't know. I don't get why you have so many things.
    This is what I have:

Where the first item is my own software, and second is IM.
But as Sicarius mentioned, I would completely re-install Windows. I do this for any infection I get. The main reason is that virus infection can only be removed by the anti-virus, Sstem files that werre modified by the virus or malware remains changed. The security software can't fix it. So any damaged done by the system, is done.

Everything looks good there, I do suggest you do as I said before though. I am 100% sure you have been infected with a miner however, they're not too easy to remove but it can be done. The issue you then have is you always run the risk of never knowing if you fully removed all malware as crypters can hide most malware nowadays. If this were me I'd do a complete re-install of Windows; but that may not be an option for you. Do as I said above and after that we can look at some other options.

Every one seems to be going round in bloody circles with the exact same arguments here... I bought the 970; an MSI one and I paid for 4GB of RAM. Yes the card performs amazingly, NOW. But I paid for 4GB because I plan to keep this card for a while and a get surround setup, if I paid for 4GB I want 4GB. I am not so bothered that I'd return it, but Nvidia's mentality and way they have dealt with this is so wrong. They should have made sure the 2 departments worked together, they should acknowledge they are to blame and take responsibility rather than this 'oh well it performs better anyway'. Tough shit, it;'s false advertisement; own up to your mistakes and take it on the chin.

It wont be a CPU issue as it either works or it doesnt, you get very VERY low failure rates of  CPU as they are so well tested in the factory. Motherboard is a possibility but start with RAM and report back

Sicarius reacted to DavidTheWin in [HTML] Most efficient way for updating article category?
Are you looking at the page source in your browser? If so, that's just what the browser renders. Behind the scenes there is a different language, likely PHP, that handles getting the recent articles etc. When the page is displayed, the PHP code is ran and the HTML result of that PHP code is added into the HTML code that the PHP code is embedded in and the entire result is displayed to your browser.

    E.g.
    Source code:

<html stuff including header and menu bar>
<php list that will get the most recent articles from the database and give them a nice format
<other html stuff such as page footer>

    When the browser renders it:
<html stuff including header and menu bar>
<html list of formatted recent articles>
<other html stuff such as page footer>

And behind that PHP code is likely a MySQL database that actually stores the content.

The PHP code queries the database, shoves it into an HTML template, and sends it on to your browser.

You have for example a cube and you put a material over it and this material just contain the .png or .bmp which is the sprite. That's how I would go about doing that.
I don't know if it supports stuff like .psd.

    What do you mean?
Lets says Object A and Object B both have Script A attached to it.

Object A's Script A, will NOT affect Object B's Script A. You don't have to make 2 scripts for both objects one.
Just use the same script for both objects.

Start() happens on play. It happens once and that once is at the beginning of the game.
