  1. Are there gonna be daily recaps like on the last event?
  2. that depends a TON on what you want to do... What resolution, what games, do you want VR stuff... Edit: Oh I I thought this was in another forum page... Yeah that would make a good video lol
  3. WOW that 2080 Super is going NUTS! What was your PPD before?
  4. I am glad I came onto the forums when i did! Just noticed this event, signed up immediately!
  5. I saw this video and thought... "Imagine if this was attached to your chair"... Seems like an LTT video to me! RUMBLE CHAIR!
  6. I have been quite curious about this recently... I have a 3900x + MSI MAG X570 Tomoahawk and I currently have a 2x8 GB kit of Crucial Ballistix DDR4 3200 CL 16. I have been thinking about upgrading it with a 16GB stick of Crucial Ballistix DDR4 3200 CL 16, putting me at 32GB, but giving me the option of upgrading again down the line if I needed more, which I would think of doing with another of the same stick. So that would end up with (all Crucial Ballistix DDR4 3200 CL 16) 2x8 GB + 2x 16 GB sticks, probably arranged so that there is an 8GB stick and a 16 GB stick in each channel. It sounds like this could work according to the video, but I would just like to double check.
  7. Hey guys! It has been a bit but I am still indeed folding (though not at the same rates I was before, Especially since running my GPU at 120% power limit burnt out an 8 pin power cable). When is the next event? I am also kinda competing with a guy on the discord, but not super seriously like Folding Month was.
  8. Another thing that could be funny: I have no idea if this is possible, but booting off of a smart card would be SUPER cool and funny. Series potential!
  9. Make a PC that boots off of a tape drive (or multiple in RAID) . Serious Meme Potential. They have some pretty fast read speeds for things linearly, as long as you don't need to jump around... So tons in raid could be interesting.
  10. Look at the FAHViewer for it! It is a BIG BOI! lol. 17322 is even bigger from what I have heard. Those ones seem like they are not quite as PPD efficent, but man do they bring in some big point values!
  11. Based on your HFM numbers, I think you would probably hit 16 mil. CPU folding isn't really damaging to GPU folding on Linux like it is on windows. My 3900x and 2070 OC go from around 2.1-2.5 mil PPD to closer to 2.8-3.1+ Mil PPD. More GPU's = More Better.
  12. I have noticed two parts distinctly missing from the PPD DB: 3990x, and the Quadro RTX A8000... WHO IS GONNA BRING US THIS MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN!?!?!??!?! @Den-Fi? You got a DGX A100 for a day, so how about this?
  13. @LAR_SystemsI like how you have separated the OS's on the GPU PPD DB. I now can confirm that I was NOT the person to do the 3.1 mil PPD record on the RTX 2070 Rev A, as that record was set on windows... Though I may have set that Linux record! (and could be the only person to have contributed so far). Also, the addition of GPU folding suggestions for the CPU PPD:PLP DB is kinda cool. Keep up the good work!
