  1. When my PC is booting or waking from sleep, my K100 RGB uses the lighting profile that I created for my previous build. Once I get into Windows, it changes to Watercolor. I have the Lighting Effects and the Hardware Lighting set to Watercolor. I would like the keyboard to show Watercolor during boot and while waking. I thought that’s what Hardware Lighting was for. This isn’t a big deal, but I’d like to fix it if possible.
  2. I wouldn’t think the board is dead. Everything was working fine before I removed the board. Another user told me that I may have been getting errors trying to run sysprep because I wasn’t in safe mode. My Windows license is from a retail copy I bought for that system. I used that product key on my new system.
  3. I recently upgraded my motherboard. I was unable to run sysprep prior to removing the old board, as I kept getting errors. So I just put the new board in and did a clean Windows install. I’m just wondering if there will be anything still tied to the old board that would make it unwise for me to sell.
  4. Excellent. Thank you for the detailed answer.
  5. I set it to 5600 MHz and it seems to be fine. Any idea why 6600 would be unstable. Is my motherboard possibly not good enough?
  6. Am I going to run into any problems if I go from Disabled to Enabled? Should I tweak anything myself, like the voltages or timings? I’m afraid of messing something up, and would much prefer to use the XMP profile as is, if that’s a viable option. The specs in my sig are current, if you need to know any of that stuff.
  7. Do I just need to update the BIOS? Or do I have to update the firmware and Intel ME as well? If I understand correctly, the Intel ME version will automatically be updated with the BIOS update, so I don’t think I have to update the ME version. It would be tremendous if someone smarter than me could confirm that. As for the firmware, I have no idea whether I need to update that or not.
  8. Do I need to upgrade my Corsair RM1000x (2021) to go from a 13900K to a 14900K? Rest of the build… EVGA 3090 FTW3 ROG Strix Z790-E Dominator Titanium 64GB Samsung 980 Pro
  9. I can push these cables up and make them look a little better, but they sag a bit as soon as I let go. I’d like to find a solution that doesn’t involve putting something else in the case to prop them up. Any thoughts?
  10. Edit: Turns out it was a driver issue. I found in Device Manager that Windows Display Adapter was showing error code 43. I clicked update driver and the GPU showed up. I shut down, plugged into the GPU’s HDMI and it worked.
  11. My new PC has been working fine without a graphics card installed. The motherboard (Strix Z790-E), CPU (13900K) and RAM (Dominator Titanium 64GB) are all new. The SSD (Samsung 980 Pro) and PSU (Corsair RM1000x) are from my previous build. I just tried popping in the graphics card (3090 FTW3) from my previous build, and I’m getting a black screen. The monitor turns on when I turn the PC on, but it just says no signal. I can’t access the BIOS. I’ve tried unplugging and replugging everything. The PC seems like it’s otherwise running normally, as all the fans are spinning and lit up, and I can hear the AIO pump. The graphics card fans do spin at startup and the RGB is on. The monitor is plugged into the graphics card’s HDMI port. AS I WAS ABOUT TO POST THIS: I tried plugging into the motherboard’s HDMI and the PC started normally, allowing me to get to the desktop. I looked in Task Manager and the 3090 is not listed, only Intel UHD Graphics. This means that I should be able to get to the BIOS with the graphics card installed, though I’d have to be plugged into the motherboard’s HDMI. Hopefully someone can advise me from here.
  12. I’m shocked… I unplugged the single fan from the AIO fans, plugged it back in, and now the RBG works and I can see it in iCUE!
  13. I have the iCUE Link H150i, along with two triple packs of the QX120 fans, and also one single QX120 fan. So 10 fans total, including the ones on the cooler. My problem is that the single fan doesn’t light up. It spins, but no RGB lighting and I can’t see it in iCUE. I have two control hubs. One control hub has the AIO fans and one set of triple pack fans plugged into it. The other control hub has the other triple pack fans plugged into it. Each control hub’s USB cable is plugged into a USB header on the motherboard. I’m using a dual PCIe cable to connect the both control hubs to PSU. The single fan, which has no RGB lighting, is plugged into the fans on the AIO. If this is at all unclear, and you need further explanation or photos, please ask me. EDIT: Unplugged single fan from AIO fans. Plugged it back in and now the RGB lighting works and the fan is recognized by iCUE.
  14. There was a set of fans that I didn’t have plugged. To my surprise, plugging them in allowed me to boot. Now, I have a different issue. I was able to boot to USB and began the Windows installation. After doing that, the monitor, mouse and keyboard turned off, but the PC is still running. The monitor says no signal, so I can’t see what, if anything, is going on. I’m not sure if I should hold the power button to turn the PC off and try turning it on again, or if maybe it’s installing Windows and I should leave it alone. Edit: I turned it off and turned it back on. Now there’s just a black screen with a white semicircle spinning.
  15. Also, the little screen on the motherboard, that displays error codes or CPU temp, says 98.
  16. Like the title says, I just tried to turn on my newish machine for the first time and I’m only getting a black screen. I say newish because I didn’t upgrade the SSD, GPU or PSU. I want to boot from USB and do a clean Windows install. The graphics card is not installed. I have the monitor connected to the HDMI port on the mothetboard’s I/O. 17. I actually found a way to make it fit. I’m not crazy about it, but I prefer it to the other options. Is this ok, to have the cooler kind of pushing down on the cables like that?
  18. This really sucks. I’m trying to top mount a Corsair iCUE Link H150! RGB and it’s getting blocked by the EPS cables. I tried moving the cables around in a number of different. Nothing is working. I don’t know what to do. It seems like my options are a different cooler, a front or side mount, or whatever you fine people suggest.
  19. Thanks for the responses, everyone. @BlueChinchillaEatingDorito It’s not hinged. It just looks like it is in the video. It starts to open like it’s hinged, and then it comes off completely. @Alinz @jaslion Yes. There’s no way to know (from what I could tell) that those hooking tabs are there, and that it’s going to require some force to remove the panel.
  20. It has these arrows that I assume are telling me to grip the tabs and pull toward me. I tried that and it’s not budging. I don’t want to pull too hard and break something. I’m just not sure if the panel is hooked onto something else that’s preventing it from coming off easily.
  21. The thing with the RGB triangles in front of the graphics card. What is that?
