  1. That is a bit of a tough position. I will way the Asus has a better build quality in my opinion. If you are worried about performance and performance only - I'd just look at benchmarks and pick based off that. Also - check battery capacity of each. I believe the Asus has a larger battery but unsure as I didn't dig too much. Even if you're going to be plugged in a ton, having a poor battery would be annoying - for some.
  2. This may not be an exact answer - but an idea. You asked for a stealth option and I think the Blade fits that bill - although even the base model is a bit above your price range. I just scooped a 2019 Advanced model for $1350 because it was an open box only in "good" condition at a retailer. Spent 3 minutes wiping it down and it looks 99% new. I mention this because you can get a lot of bang for your buck if you look around. That or the G3/G5 Dell laptops are more muted in terms of aesthetic. Cheers!
  3. Some things to consider - how much battery do you need? Are aesthetics important? How about ease to upgrade? 1) I think the Blade 15 is a great laptop. Haters are going to hate but it is a solid built machine and looks great. Battery will be 4-6 hours of real world use (light/office/productivity). 2) I love the look of the M15R2. I have read that the mobo is installed upside down which makes upgrading a pain in the ass. It does look very cool as well (in my opinion) 3) I don't think MSI build quality is up to par. If your going to be on the go, I would be concerned about long-term durability. 4) I have nothing to add - seem some Asus machines - they seem OK but not very familiar.
  4. I have touched both - owned neither. I can say the Asus has a much more premium feel. Not to say it is Razer Blade level but it feels less flimsy than the Dell. That alone would have me leaning towards the Asus. Is it possible to stop by a retail location and touch/type on them? I think that'd be best as you're spending a decent amount of money on a laptop.
