  1. I changed out my motherboard for the Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Ultra and my computer runs perfectly again. Thanks for the help!
  2. Do you think that that could be the issue? Which motherboard would you recommend then?
  3. I'm not very sure what the settings were before, but I made a "Defualt" overclocking profile before I began to change things. I have rolled back to that and I've gone through the overclocking settings. Everything is set to "Auto" and I've gone through all of the CPU features and made sure that they were set correctly. As for task manager, I have a second monitor and I usually keep task manager open to the "Performance" tab. Lately, I've been making sure that the temperatures and clock speeds are all normal. My memory's stock speed is 3600, but I turned of XMP just to be safe, so now it's running at 2133. Could that cause any issues?
  4. This problem has been going on for some time now, ever since I built my computer, in fact. I'm going to try and keep this short, but there is a lot you might need to know. I finished building my computer in April. Immediately, I decided to try and overclock it (I know, it wasn't a good idea). I'll put my system specs at the end of this post. I was trying to take my time and overclock my CPU as slowly as I could. I enabled XMP and started following an overclocking tutorial posted by MSI for my motherboard and CPU (I am relatively new to overclocking). Almost immediately during stress testing, my computer randomly shut down. There was no BSOD or anything. I decided to undo all my changes and just try and use my computer normally. My OS and applications were randomly crashing. I found out that I didn't check the memory speeds when I bought two new sticks of memory. Two sticks were running at 2666 while the other two were running at 3600. I ordered new 3600 sticks and put them in. The problems went away and I decided to come back to overclocking later. A few days ago I decided that, since I had nothing to do, I was going to try overclocking my CPU again. I followed the same tutorial as before and began stress testing. My computer crashed only five minutes in to stress testing and I decided that I would do some more research and learn some more before I overclocked again. Again, I reset all of the overclocking settings back to default. I began having the same problems I did before and wasn't able to find a way to stop them. My computer will randomly restart. It isn't a complete shutdown and start, my fans and RGB keep going, but my screen randomly turns black and my Bluetooth headphones loose connection. When my computer comes back on, there is no trace of anything happening anywhere. I have gone through every log in event viewer and found nothing. I'm not blue screening. This happened a few times. Each time I tried to change some things and figure out what was wrong, but it kept happening. Today, my computer completely shut down and when I pressed the power button, it didn't turn back on. I unplugged it and gave it a few minutes (this happened back when I had a problem with my memory) and then plugged it back in, making sure to push the plug in all the way on both ends. I then updated my BIOS, my chipset, my GPU, and my audio driver. Thinking that it had to be fixed, I tried playing some more Battlefield 5 when it randomly restarted again. Now, I'm writing this. If anyone has any idea what I could try to fix this or what the problem is, please let me know. Computer Parts Software One more thing, these random restarts seem to only happen when I'm doing something demanding, like playing a game or stress testing. I was able to use my computer for a few hours for a couple of days, just doing low-power things, with no issues. Sorry this was a long post, I just wanted to make sure that you can understand everything. If you need any other information, let me know.
  5. Hey @jakkuh_t , it appears that Steam no longer uses HTTP. As far as I know it uses HTTPS now. Due to this, I'm unable to cache Steam downloads and updates. Does anyone know if there is any way to change what Steam uses for downloads? I know this tutorial was posted over a year ago, and I don't think that it works for Steam anymore. EDIT: I can confirm that it doesn't work for Steam or Origin
