  1. The case and trays are strong and have rubber stands off anti vibration, so the noise is not from vibration on thelly tray.
  2. So, i build a Chia rig, Frctal Define 7XL (thanks LTT for the case suggestion) , 200tb 32g ram, R9 3900x and 2 dell perc h310 in IT mode to handle the drives (can see the rig here if you want https://www.reddit.com/r/chia/comments/qx3red/finally_got_my_rig_up_and_running/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share). Now I'm looking for some help, like the title says I'm having noise problems with the hdd, the drives are brand new Exos X16 16TB, the trays have anti vibration rubber and the HDD are tight on them so the noise is not from vibration. If I put my fingers on the drives I can fell them rumping up and down when I hear the noise. I tried power management and Hdparm to stop spin down and needle parking but without any success, also using SEAGATE Seatool I get the info that (all good with the drives) advanced power management is not supported on this drives. Any way to work around this? I can't take the rig out of my room.
  3. It does ramp up but not to slow and also not a jump between temps, but gonna take out the cooler, clean it and repast, doesn't hurt trying.
  4. SO, I updated my cpu from a R9 3900X to R9 5900X and now i'm having some temperature problems. My corsair H150I could handle the 3900x like a champ with low temps wile gaming but it seams to have some trouble keeping the 5900x temps under control, it idles at ~42º but any thing makes it go up to 80º plus, 88º wile gaming and some others tasks (room temp around 20º), and i think that is too hot. The cpu in idle works at ~4ghz and i neve saw it go down to the base speed at 3.7ghz. Something wrong with my cpu? Shouldn't a 360mm AIO handle a 5900x without problems? Rig specs: -R9 5900x - Asus 570X E-Gaming - 32Gb G.skill Trident z 3600 C16 -RTX 3080Ti -Corsair H150i Pro XT -Corsair HX 850
  5. The psu is a HP 1200W Platinum DPS-1200FB-1 A refurbished. I did try find new ones but could find where to buy them.
  6. Does a server psu have any kind off smell when working? I just got one refurbished a few days ago ( first time working with server psu) and I'm trying it, the psu work good, the breakout bord sends power to riser and card good but as soon as you turn on the psu it has a weird smell, not quite like plastic burning, can't see/hear any sparks on the psu. Haven't tested it yet with enough load to make the fan spin at full but I'm worried with the possibility of the psu get on fire or something.
  7. That did the trick. my score on the cpu is a little lower but the graphics are on point.
  8. Ram is runing with DOCP, so 3600mhz and the case is a nzxt 710i with 10 fans so no cooling problems
  9. So i run some benchmarks (3Dmark) on mi 3080 ti just for fun but i getting half the score i should and can't figure why. Comparing with similar rigs i should be getting around 21000/22000 points on the graphic card and i'm getting not even half. I cam play almost all games maxed out at 1440p with over 100+ fps. Tried to run without driver installed an get the same score. 10. I have a doubt about the way I am supplying power to my rig, I have a 3080 suprim x, 3070 gaming X trio and a 2070s, all cards are at 60% power. My power supply is a Corsar RM 1000x, couldn't find a seasonic with 8 Pci-e plugs at the time I bought it. The 3080 is connected with 2 cables directly from power and the third plug is from one of the same cable, the 3070 is connected withe two cables from the supply and 2070s with one cable for the two 8+6 pin, I don't have any other Pci-e plug available on the power supply. Is this setup OK, or I'm gonna have problems with overheating cables?
  11. Yeah, tried the 'normal stuff', did go back for a early january driver i used before and still the same problem, maeby have to do a clean install
  12. Yeah I understand that, sorry i didn't explain well. Yes same happens with stock settings. This started a few days ago.
  13. Yes, even with the OC, while i'm mining i can use the pc with no problems, the crash only happens when i mining and close the miner, I lose input on the display or freeze, sometimes BSOD. Like the Windows dosen't know what to do with the GPU now that they are not mining.
  14. First off all, I'm a noob miner, just started like +/- 3 months ago, i have a asus 2070s and a msi 3080 (if a could get another card at a good price would be great) working at stable 140 mh/s on nbminer. Both cards are on risers and i have my monitor plug in on my 2070s (my R5 1600 don't have a APU), I use the asus tweak to control the 2070s OC and afterburner for the 3080 but now is seams the programs are messing with other because both cards appear on both programs so some time the oc I want don´t get applied . Also, now when a close the miner the pc freezes or it freezes and i get a BSOD. Don't know what to do. NBminer 2070s OC: 40 mh/s Clock: -150 Men: +1100 Power: 70% temps: 56º 3080 OC: 100mh/s Clock: -200 Men: +1300 Power: 60% temps: 39º and men junction 88/90º
