  1. Device Manager is clean, no conflicts shown. Tried reflashing the vBIOS, same thing happens. I wanted to update the thread, for anyone experiencing this. I've gotten my card back, after a long time at the shop, they couldn't find anything wrong with it. Strange, since I've got it back, the same thing kept happening. I've switched out the systems, basically the same thing kept happening. Then, Windows decided to give me Nvidia update to 512.15. Works flawlessly on it, no problems whatsoever, as long as I don't try to update it through GeForce Experience or manually through the website. No idea what's happening, but I'll close this thread, if anyone has a problem like this, let Windows handle the update.
  2. CPU: Ryzen 2600x GPU: Gigabyte 1080ti 11GB OC PSU: EVGA 650 GQ MOBO: MSI X570 Gaming Plus (yes, unfortunately) RAM: 2 x 8GB Kingston HyperX Fury Black 3200MHz Storage: 1TB Samsung 980 EVO m.2 SSD + 2 x 2TB Western Digital HDD Unfortunately, I don't have any other GPU to play with, this is all I'm working with. I also think it's on the verge of dying. It's straight to the black screen, in the middle of installing the driver, when Nvidia Installer shows "Installing graphics driver". After that, I get to the MSI Logo, and that's it. Didn't really check the Event Viewer, will check and report back. Currently, it's working fine with 391.35 Windows drivers, but everything else, big nope. Under load (Witcher 3 -> Ultra, Plague Tale -> Ultra, 1080p) I get stable FPS with no crashing, with temps hovering around 80-83 degrees, 100% GPU utilization. The only problem are the drivers. Couple of months before this, the GPU would either BSOD at random times and/or crash every browser window and/or the game currently playing and freeze the computer. The only solution was a fresh Windows install, and that lasted for a couple of weeks, then the cycle repeats. Back then, I had no problems installing any driver version.
  3. Hello, everyone. I've been having some problems with my graphics card. Any driver beside the driver that Windows installs (391.35) crashes the Windows, putting the computer in a loop of restarts, and I'm unable to even enter safe mode. After a couple of clean installs of Windows 10 and 11, the problem repeats itself. Any ideas? Thank you!
  4. Thanks guys, what I basically got out of this is that, even for a 150€ more, 1080ti is pretty much worth it. Will buy it then, thanks for the help.
  5. Hello everyone. I've recently upgraded my old rig to something like this: AMD Ryzen 5 2600x B450 Aorus Elite 2x8GB Kingston HyperX Fury 3000MHz GeForce GTX 1660ti 6GB Samsung 970 EVO Plus m.2 250GB Chieftec G-700S 700W Here's the thing, I've been offered recently an upgrade to a G1 1080ti for a 120€-150€ price difference and they're willing to give me extended warranty for it. Keep in mind, I payed roughly 300€ for my card new, still in warranty. Mostly I run games at 1080p ultra, so pretty much no interest at going 1440p or 4K. I'm not really sure if the price/performance ratio is good here, so I'm asking you guys, what do you think?
