  1. That is a good point, It doesnt. I'm an idiot. I'll check with their devs if they intend to implement SLI at some point in future versions. In theory though, could it be done in an easy(ish) way? Might be nice to have 8 gamers at a decent spec, but the option for 4 gamers at Stupid high spec (sli 2070s is a bit better than a 2080ti assuming the game supports it from my research) and yes, Capture will use as much of the GPU as it can get at, sure, lower spec CPU wont utilise a higher GPU as well, but it'll always improve it. I cant see a 9900k producing better results than a similarly clocked 9700k, as Capture is only lightly multitreaded, a 4 core ~5ghz overclock is what I'd be aiming for.
  2. Hi everyone, new poster here, so appologies if I've got this in the wrong place! Background to this build... I'm looking to set up a 8 person gaming LAN. I also need to update my work rig to get more out of a program I use called Capture 2018, its a events lighting visualisation program which renders light sources in real time (including movement and stuff). So, what I'm thinking is, rather than spending £1500 per lan machine, and another say £3000 on a higher spec machine for work, what if I spend a bit more per machine for the LAN but run VMs via Unraid, so that when I need to, I can switch one over to a SLI setup and use that for work. My aim would be something along the lines of....9700k (oc'd) with 2x 2070Super per lan machine. My main question is, how easy would it be to set up Unraid to do 2 vms which use a 2070s per vm, BUT then have another VM which uses the PAIR of 2070s in SLI when I need to. obv It wouldnt run all 3 at once, so they're would be some setting swaps to do, but would I alsoo need to do any Hardware changes inside the machine to facilitate this? Is my idea even possible? thanks for any advice, constructive or not, and your patience. Chris
