    I don't think so
But they are really light games
I thought you were talking about triple games or something like that
You can try to undervolt the cpu since it is pulling a higher amount of voltage then it needs (factory settings)
You can also try and overclock it a bit
What is the usage % of the cpu and ram?
    Check with Task manager

    well
Those games can run on your microwave
What is the cpu and ram usage while both of them are open?

I think that kids like you shouldn't have a pc lol
Why in the hell would you be running 2 or more games?
    Actually bro?
Just get a 13900K and 4090TI so you can play fortnite with gta v and cyberpunk in the background
    Come on bruh
    You tripping HARDDD right now

Whether or not it's a bottleneck will depend on your games and their settings, but theoretically that chip is some 10-20% faster than a 3600X, so you could actually see a difference when your CPU starts being a bottleneck (while extreme, my framerate basically tripled at 720p low in superposition when going from a 1700 to a 5600x).

A 5800x3D will be about as fast on top of that, so that's definitely a faster chip if you can afford it. Still, you might be able to swap your 3600x for a 5600x with fairly minimal added cost on your part. I know my R7 1700 to R5 5600X upgrade only cost me 60$ all-in.

    I really don't see a reason to upgrade a 3600x, especially at 2K
But if you really want to upgrade, the 5800X3D is the best AM4 gaming cpu you can get
I'm not sure if your MB could handle this cpu tho

You might also want to get 32gb of ram as well as the way you use your computer really makes 16gb of ram cutting it close. 16gb of ram is fine if you only do one thing at a time but when you have alot of stuff open at once the ram usage can get to 16gb fairly fast. I know because I have run into a similar issue.

It would probably do better as it has 8 cores. If you are worried about multitasking you can always go for the 5900x which can be had for fairly cheap at this point and you get 12 cores which would be more than enough for multitasking. Also you might want to consider a monitor upgrade to make full use of your new gpu as resolution scaling isn't nearly as good as native 2k.

Then get a 5800x3d, you can keep your board and RAM supposing they're decent

Nice, I have that same monitor

If you're looking for a relatively cheap upgrade, something like a used 5600X can probably be found for cheap (especially after selling your 3600x) and wouldn't require a mobo or ram upgrade.

cpu doesn't really matter in this case, but a 12400f is the minimum i'd go with, or if you are gonna use the pc for a long time just go with a 5800x3d

my gpu recommendation is 3080ti for multiple reasons, the 4090 might be the best bang4buck atm but could be out of budget, the 4080 is a terrible deal, the 3090ti uses an adapter for not that much more performance, the 3090 has ram temp issues, and anything below a 3080ti might be too weak, or given time. So waiting could really be an option

moniotr rec would be the AW3423DWF or the GP27Q

... Could be. A lot of Ada Lovelace's improvements were streamlining RTX functionality, if you mean to go all in on RTX stuff then it could be worth it (same as how a lot of Ampere's improvements were streamlining the RTX pipeline over Turing's initial implementation).

3080/3080 Ti will probably do the job then, at launch a 2080 Ti would run Cyberpunk all ultra at 1080p60, with the additional work since launch, DLSS, and the 3080/Ti being a good chunk faster (the 3070 recommended above is about the same speed as a 2080 Ti), it should handle 1440p. Otherwise look for a 3090/3090 Ti on sale, I think some have dipped as low as $850 or so.

Not familiar with Spider-Man, I would assume it's a lighter implementation of RTX same as most other games. Metro Exodus Last Light Enhanced Edition runs incredibly and it's fully RTX though (the entire lighting engine is RT, you can't even run it without an AMD 6000 series or Nvidia 20 series or newer) so not sure why Cyberpunk chokes so hard once RT is enabled. Control is also a very hefty implementation of RTX, you need DLSS in that as well to get decent framerates (at least in my spot of poking around with it, using an RTX 2060 Super at 2560x1080).

What games are you trying to run, and are you willing to use DLSS? Otherwise you're looking at like a 3090 or higher if you want specifically Cyberpunk 2077 to run 60fps solid with RTX on ultra.

Probably about 1500$ max for a build with decent CPU, mb that handles it, good ram, 1TB storage, 80 ish fps give or take 60 on some 100 on others

I ain't lying and already included a known caveat (it's spicy). I didn't say all games. Right now every high end CPU wins in many games. Up to you to figure out which wins for yours. I was making the argument from a value perspective because it does trade blows with the most expensive CPUs on the market at only $330, and not exclusively in GPU-bound scenarios.

    I ain't gonna clarify which games. That's Steve's job.

It's a fantastic chip and a great value, if late to the party.

Thanks for clarifying and rewording.  It's more factual now.

Edit:. OP, Yes the 5800x3d would be the best upgrade.

Any cpu from 2010 can do that.   Your current can easily.

Multi tasking is more having multiple heavy apps running and doing things at the same time.  Like editing a video while in a WoW raid while doing regression analysis in Excel.

Browsers, streaming, discord, etc are nothing to a cpu.

Let's relax on the beating 13900k stuff.  Or at least clarify and add the caveats.

It may tie it when it's GPU bound but it doesn't beat it.

Personally, I say just get the 5800X3D and be done with it if your mobo can handle it. AntOnline is still selling them on their online store and on Ebay for $330. I got mine through them on Ebay a little over a week ago, and I hear stock is starting to run low.

$330 for a CPU that beats the 7950X or 13900K in many games seems like a no-brainer to me if you have the cash for it. Just be warned that you'll need some decent cooling for this chip to get its absolute max performance.

That said, hiccups in mouse movement and stuff don't seem like a CPU issue. We figured out smooth mouse movement with CPUs that have double-digit MHz clock speeds back in the 90s, so it's likely software causing this issue, not your 3600X.
