I'll give you a practical example the thing is that turbo boost is very confusing but I recommend you should go check cpu monkey website for your cpu ( just go e5-2640v3 cpu monkey ) and you'll get this piece o crap. Take a look under the Cpu Cores and Base Frequency The : Turbo ( 1 core { referring to the turbo boost tech scheme in act } ) : 3.4ghz The turbo boost almost always refers to the single core boost, which is the most helpfull in dping small tasks like browsing, opening ( loading ) webpages, saving small files, opening small programs / executables, etc. Conclusion is that I have to go have lunch cuz itz reddy and tell me the single core cb r15 score. Hey there yall techy people I really need help about haswell e5-26** (v3) series xeons . So I'm thinking about a build that makes good use of old xeons like the e5-2620v3, e5-2658v3, e5-2640v3 or e5-2678v3 Because they are really affordable and I would love to have many cores as well . But I'm baffled about buying any of the above mentioned xeons because they are Absolutely awesome, but I need to know if all of them support ddr3 ecc on this x99 motherboard . ⬇ ↙ Chinese Huanan Motherboard click,here. I'm sure that the e5-2678v3 supports ddr3 whether ecc or not. I'm not sure about the others so any help would be appreciated. And throw in some misc facts, tips and tricks bout this platform as well.
