  1. Thanks for your all responses, now i know everything i needed.
  2. Hey guys. I have an old laptop HP-15-af087nw with AMD A8-7410 APU/ R5 GPU which seems to be m330 and 8 GB of DDR3 RAM. I was thinking about getting PCIe riser with mini PCIe to connect eGPU into wifi slot. The GPU would be 1060 GTX but i read that riser i want to buy will be able to provide only 75W with 6 pin power port. My questions are - is it even gonna work? How much performance i will lose ? I only have to buy PCIe riser at this point because i have GPU and PSU but is it worth? Also i want to do this cheap because i cant afford gdc right now. Im open for some ideas.
  3. Managed to lower core clock by 10 mhz and memory clock by 50 mhz on gpu and everything seems fine, no crashes and i dont hear coil whine anymore. Kinda strange but problem solved i guess.
  4. Today my pc crashed, got blue screen. I can stress cpu and gpu in gpu/cpu z and nothing happens, no whining, no crashes also tested in heaven benchmark and it passed. When it comes to games they crash after few minutes. Temps are pretty good 59-60°C on gpu and around 65°C on cpu. Totally i have no idea what could be causing this.
  5. Hey. Today i moved to a new platform which is b450 tomahawk max, ryzen 7 3700x and 2x8 crucial ballistix sport lt 3200 mhz oc to 3600. I took my old psu chieftec cft-600-14cs and gpu gtx 1060 msi gaming x 6 gb. My old pc was gigabyte p67a-b3-d3 mobo, i5 2500 and 16 gb some hyperx ram. So when i launched a game and played for a bit i started noticing a wierd noise which was coming from my gpu, i turned the game off and launched another one, it had like 200-300 fps in menu and coil whining was louder than with lower fps. Game crashed, i tried launching it few times but there was loud coil whine and crashes to windows. I read somwhere that i should cap my fps so i did and coil whine was quieter but still noticeable, also game didnt crash. It never happen before all move to a new platform, it started with a new rig. Any suggestions what could be causing coil whine?
