    Weird Issue

Still not sure what is going on, seems like multiple things, first changed the sound level of the mic, for some reason 70% isnt loud enough and 100% is ungodly loud on the other end. Then that stopped working so I went ahead and left the mic test window open and that seemed to solve the issues. I dont know why, kinda frustrating but it is what it is.

    Weird Issue

Sup. So I got a weird issue going on as the subject states. I am able to hear audio through my head phones, play music, Youtube, whatever it may be. It works. Playing Modern Warfare Warzone... I can hear everything in the lobby, all noises, all party friends. About 15 seconds into the game all audio cuts... No noise whatsoever. If I open the xbox gamebar and play with the audio sliders, all sound comes back. go back to the game and 15 seconds in all audio cuts.
  5. I am not saying that is your issue, but i boiled it down to a cheap mb I had for a years
  6. I had a similar issue a few months ago, I ended up buying a used mb and it mine is working again. this happened right after I installed my 5700xt.
  7. Micro Center could be trying to fill multiple positions with one person. If I had to guess, when a persons pc breaks and/or cannot be repaired they would want you to be able to sell them the new thing in the pc world. Get them to upgrade, even though they might not need it. As for a help desk, I can vouch that you will have plenty of stories to tell when it is all said and done... Assuming you are around 40ish? With no pc background, I would definitely recommend getting the certifications and go from there. They will cost you, but its a price you pay for a decent job.
  8. I am on the side of certs do matter, like others have said it shows that your willing to go a step further than the others. Which is also hopefully reflected in your work ethic. Not always the case but something to keep in mind. A+ is probably the most basic cert that will cover the most amount of ground. If your trying to get into a IT field, I suggest getting on a help desk, not a call center. It is where you will get to put your knowledge to work and lay a good foundation of problem solving. For the most part, if you can survive a few years on a help desk you will have a great foundation and find what section of IT you may want to specialize in: Networking, Cyber Security, Data Analyst etc. Hopefully the company you would work for might let you explore some projects into the field you want while you are on the help desk.
  9. Literally just had this happen to me. i went from a 1050ti to a 5700xt. Mine is showing Realtek Optical. but the 3.5 jacks do not work. I am following along for the ride.
  10. Okay... so I just got a pretty sweet deal on a 5700xt graphics card plopped it into my system. After downloading all the drivers for it, no 3.5mm audio jack works front or rear... The picture that is attached shows 4 options: 1-Xbox controller (wired via usb). 2-tv. 3-***No Idea*** 4. Monitor. (Image 1) I did have a headset plugged into all three options at this picture, front and rear 3.5mm, and xbox controller. Now is the strange part. I do not have anything plugged into my "Digital Output" (I assume this is the optical port). And if I go into the sound manager I see both my monitor and tv (no issue), I see 4 more digital outputs that are not plugged in, Speakers that are not plugged in (which should be where my headphones are recognized), and finally the Digital Output. (Image 2) **What I have done so far** -I just did the reset option in windows, hoping to clear out unnecessary things and see if that worked but it did not. -Reinstalled realtek drivers off of their site. -No bios update for motherboard. Everything worked before I got this gpu and installed drivers. Could that have possible ruined the on-board audio? Would it even still work through the xbox controller if the on-board audio was fried? Lots of questions, hopefully someone has the answers/had this problem before.
