  1. And this just happened. So it looks like you're right. Must have been in use when I was previously testing it
  2. Been looking this up for an hour and have seen nothing referencing that until now. Interesting.
  3. It is indeed the OS drive. Is that a guess or is that actually a thing?
  4. oh haha, sorry. z370 asus maximus hero x Just one GPU, 1080ti 8700k if that matters
  5. Just received mine today. Getting expected advertised speeds.
  6. Just tested my Samsung 960 Pro for the first time despite owning it for a couple years. ? It's plugged into the bottom M.2 slot. I've ensured the m.2_2 slot is set to x4. It's running at around 2600write and 1900read when it should be 3500write and 2100read. Why?
  7. Yeah, I imagine it'd probably be better to do that anyways with the Sabrent's faster write speeds. Samsung reads slightly faster so theoretically, although totally not noticeable (lol), it should be the stronger boot drive. I'm no expert, but it makes sense to me.
  8. Alright, I'll just slap it in as extra storage space. Thanks
  9. So my current M.2 is a Samsung 960 Pro (512mb) with reads of 3500mb/s and writes of 2100mb/s. I just recently purchased a Sabrent Rocket (1TB) with reads of 3400mb/s & writes of 3000mb/s. I stream and edit videos so one of these are being scratched to hell. Currently, the Samsung has had the OS and has had the burden of being my scratch disk as well. Wondering if I should throw the OS and programs on the Sabrent and use the Samsung specifically for scratch. Or... continue as is treating the Sabrent as additional drive space. Or... something else. Would like some input. Thanks! Edit: This is on a z370 asus maximus hero x, so they should both run at full speed.
