  1. I have been having the same problem too. my pc restarts at random and on the event viewer it had an event id 41 but my ram showed no errors and there are no blue screens too
  2. I saw this in the event viewer as I was check my pc... "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
  3. Hello, I need help with an issues I have been having. just a few days ago I had a major upgrade. I switched to a water cooled gpu (zotac 2080 super) and a 850w 80+ gold (superflower Legion gx). these were secondhand parts from a well trusted source. the psu was fairly new. was used for just a few days and the gpu and water cooling kit is from a previous pc the person had. everything checked out and each part worked individually but as soon as I put everything together, my pc would just restarts at random with no error codes/blue screens or fatal error massages. at first I think it was an issue with my ram as my pc prior to the upgrade would occasionally have a dram issues and the pc would freeze with my motherboard showing a indicator (solid orange led on my asus rog b450-f) but after countless testing and even running the pc with a single stick, the random restarts would still occur. what I notice after the upgrade is coil while from my cheap speakers and the random restarts on random (idle/mid game/just watching youtube). Graphics device lookup failed when I look up the gpu using gpu-z. here are my specs with how long I have been using them CPU: Ryzen 5 3600X (nearly a year) MOBO: Asus ROG strix B450-F (2 years of usage) RAM: XPG D41 2*8GB 3000mhz (2 years of usage) M.2: XPG spectrix S40G 512GB (nearly a year) GPU: Zotac 2080 super amp core/extreme idk which model per say (recent) PSU: SuperFlower Legion GX pro 850w 80+ gold semi-modular (recent) please help as this is really stressing me out and my pc is the only good thing have left
  4. Really love Sapphire GPUs. You can never go wrong with them. It fits any build, even I used one for a build I did for my friend.
  5. On previous post I made, I share what I found from a cheap PC I bought. It was a CMstorm case and inside was a i5 4690k, a sweet z97 motherboard, fancy ripjawX ram and a Leadtek GTX 970. Well I had a friend that wanted to go into PC gaming on a small budget. He already bought a case from long ago but haven't got the time to save up for the other components. So I just made him a deal to buy the PC and use the case he had on hand. Sure it was a lost for me cause I did bought a new SSD, air cooler and 3 cheap cooler master fans. It took an entire nice but man it was fun and looks really good. He is good friend so helping him out was the least I can do. Full specs CPU: i5 4690K Cooler: jonsbo CR 1000-GT Ram: 8gb DDR 3 ripjawX 2400mhz Mobo: AsRock Z97 anniversary SSD: 240GB Patriot HDD: 1TB Seagate PSU: 600w 80+ bronze semi modular Case: Corsair carbine spec omega (red)
  6. haha sadly i wasnt thinking at the time and just started cleaning the thing but oh boi. it was like opening an ancient tomb. I try blowing on the gpu and a plume of dust just spew out of it
  7. maybe its a GPU issue, try asking your friends that runs a 20 series Nvidia GPU to test your 2070S. if its normal, then it might be a issue with your other components or hopefully just a bad gpu driver
  8. haha damn, here people are selling rx 570 for roughly 145 usd. GPUs are the toughest to get here. but my current main rig I got a near new RX 5700 XT for 430 usd. that was a steal since its was a beefy triple fan Gigabyte Aorus. the person recently bought it but got frustrated with the driver issues and went for an Nvidia GPU
  9. sweet bro. haha really wish the second hand market here is as good as the us and australia. here in borneo, there are hardly any parts that arent over priced so to me this deal as a one is a life time thing.
  10. I don't know if this is the right place to post but today I just got super lucky on a parts hunt. I got my hand on a PC that is one of those mythical "this PC was given to me by my uncle so I just wanna sell it". It started on a post on Facebook, it was a PC that was so out of place for 400 bucks (287usd when converted). It only stated that it has an i5 4690k and a GTX 970 with a blurry photo of the insides. But then I saw the case and knew it was something special. I contacted the seller and oh my god with I open it. It. Was. So freaking. DIRTY. But while I was cleaning, I slow uncovered surprise after surprise. It dawn to me that I just bought what seem to be a near high end PC from 2015 or 2016. Inside it was actually a i5 4690k, 8GB (2x4) 2400mhz ripjaw x, an AsRock Z97 anniversary motherboard, a Leadtek GTX 970 and a beefy 600w semi modular PSU. I was so excited and the PC turn out really good after a fresh windows installation on a new SSD. Was thinking to change the case but then I found out that the case but I don't know. The cooler master storm scout 2 kinda looks dope at. PS: it took me the entire freaking day to clean everything. Yes, it was that dirty
  11. yea, that might be the case but it doesnt explain the weird behavior of my cpu fan. I repaste the cooler but it still happens, I ended up sending my pc to the shop where I bought the cpu. its still under warranty so I can get a replacement if its defective. it keeps doing three boot cycles each time I boot the system up, which is concerning
  12. well I am using phanteks p350x with two 140mm intake fans, a 120mm back exhaust and one 140mm top exhaust. and I set the fan speed to the high profile on my motherboard
  13. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ySxPVN8gdkqNzcmnVO2cgqD37FNFjBqc/view?usp=sharing this doesnt look normal...
  14. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ySxPVN8gdkqNzcmnVO2cgqD37FNFjBqc/view?usp=sharing here is what I capture. dont know if the link works
  15. but the temps are all over the place... it keeps going up and down from 40 to 56c and is never in a constant temperature.
  16. hello forum, I just upgraded from a ryzen 2600 to a 3600x. dont know if its normal for the temperature to fluctuate on idle and gaming. ranging from 44c to 56c on idle in seconds and reaching up to 77c on Apex legends. also my cpu fan seems to spin then turns off and spins again each time I boot the system. thats most concerning cause it never did that when I used my 2600... CPU: Ryzen 5 3600x COOLER: Wraith Prism Max
  17. Alright, thanks a lot. Was kinda worry if I somehow broke my ram or the ram slot on the motherboard
  18. hello, recently upgraded my motherboard to an Asus ROG B450-f and I noticed that I can no longer see the details of my ram (2x8GB 3000mhz XPG D41 kit) on the task manager. I already set the ram to the rated speed and its showing on CPU-Z as dual channel. is this normal or should I worry? spec CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 RAM: 2x8GB 3000mhz XPG D41 MOBO: Asus ROG Strix B450-f GPU: Asus ROG Strix GTX 1080
  19. It's the 2016 model. Haha found it on a very good deal for $40 from fb. Everything was working and all I use was compressed air to clean whatever were between the keys. And yea, a waifu mouse pad would be nice but don't know which one to pick to fit the purple and blue theme of the pc
  20. It's on the inside. Plus might mod the case once I get my hands on acrilic boards. They aren't available in my area so have get them in the next town or order them online
  21. Planning to get the yeston RX 5700 xt waifu edition actually
  22. What do you think about my PC? well this is my first rig. It took me a while to get it to this point. I first bought a second hand system through a friend. It was a second gen Ryzen build with a Rx 580 and a pretty bad case. I then slowly sold and trade the GPU, case, cooler and ram. The first change was the GPU. I was offer by a friend to buy a brand new gtx 1660. Big mistake as the model was an Asus Tuf 1660 (DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL) with terrible thermals. I then found a post on a second hand gigabyte GTX 1070 G1, selling the crappy 1660 I was relieved to see that the 1070 was an amazing experience. But finally I found the one, a second hand gtx 1080 Asus strix being posted on facebook for $450 (BND). Jumping on it right away, I contacted the seller to see if it was still available. It gave me a small window of time to sell my 1070 then buying the Asus strix. Fortunately some did buy the GPU the same day as I promised to meet up with seller. With GPU in hand, I am now fully satisfied with the gaming performance. Now was the part for the look of the PC and fixing the thermals as the case it came with was on the bottom of the barrel. A Tecware Nexus m with 3 fans that barely pulling air, I began to look for a case and set of fan. Finding a deal on a set of 140mm old gen thermaltake Ring fans, I then turn to my friend again to see if I can order a decent case. Then there it was the case that I always wanted the Phanteks eclipse p350x. Other small things I changed was the ugly and slow ram (4x4GB Kingston 2400mhz ram), bought a second hand wraith prism Max cooler, and slowly save up to buy decent peripherals. Also a 144hz monitor of course Specs CPU: Ryzen 5 2600 RAM: XPG D41 16GB 3000mhz MOBO: gigabyte Aorus B450M GPU: GTX 1080 Asus Strix 8GB SSD: Kingston 240GB HDD: WD Blue 1TB PSU: 1stPlayer D.K 500w 80+ bronze CASE: Phanteks eclipse p350x MONITOR: Dell S2419HGF 24inch 1080p 144hz KEYBOARD: Razer blackwidow ultimate green switches 2016 MOUSE: Corsair Harpoon
  23. Alright. Will get decent 500w in the near future.
