  1. I found your channel while looking for videos to help me build my first PC. Initially I thought Linus' voice was super annoying, but then I realized his group was the best and most entertaining ones on Youtube! So now I just deal with his voice so I can see Slick and Edzel.
  2. The best thing is most certainly the gorgeous design of the phone
  3. she won't need one at first, but i figure we can throw one in later if she ends up getting really into gaming. she'll probably be mostly doing general web browsing and then some light gaming like sims and stuff. and alright i just wanted to make sure it would fit. I heard that case only has 3in of clearance above the cpu and I've never dealt with AMD cpu's before, so idk how big the cooler is.
  4. She definitely wants to get into gaming but I wanted something that would definitely be able to do light gaming for now, and then we could throw a nice gpu in there somewhere down the road. And I wanted the ssd for stability too. She doesn't know how to fix stuff, and i don't wanna have to go fix it all the time. I figured that would be good for general use and some light gaming until she gets into games that need more graphical power.
  5. So i'll probably be doing a build for my girlfriend in the coming months, and I was wondering how this build is overall, and if the stock amd cooler will fit and work in this case. We're going for budget and speed so I didn't really wanna have to drop extra on a liquid cooler. Thanks for your time! Here is the build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3c0PV
  6. I checked my drivers and it seems all of them are okay. And it doesn't look like it's my ram. Both sticks are doing it. It seems like after a reboot, my computer will be fine for a few minutes and then it'll start pulling all it's shenanigans. And the weird thing was I was watching a youtube music video, everything froze up and i couldn't do anything but the music kept playing
  7. Yeah I checked that the usage was okay, and it was. Or do you mean like check each stick to see if it's faulty? And which drivers would I go about updating? Like video, LAN, chipset...?
  8. yep, twice. nothing was found.
  9. So earlier today I noticed my PC has started to kinda stutter for about 20-30 seconds. It'll just freeze, and I won't be able to use the mouse or anything and if I'm watching a video the audio will keep going for a bit and stop. I built my PC about a year ago and this has never happened before, and I have no idea why this is happening. What could be doing this? It seems to happen randomly every few minutes. Help would be greatly appreciated.
  10. AlwaysFSX but it handled that overclock for a while, and now any overclocking at all causes the entire system to crash. Do I just have to run it at stock speeds now? And Grave, I was just wondering how far it could go, and it was stable for a while so I figured it was okay.
  11. So I built my rig about a year ago and initially just let the Asus 650ti 1GB run at the clock speed it came it, 980mhz. Then about 4 or 5 months ago I decided to try and overclock it. Being lazy, I just turned the voltage all the way up and then the core clock to around 1110mhz and the memory speed up 250mhz and all was fine. But about 2 months ago I noticed if I was playing bioshock with the card overclocked after about half an hour or so my computer would freeze and I'd have to restart it. Now if I try to play anything with anything on the card turned up at all, the whole system will freeze after a minute or two. I have no idea why this would happen and would really appreciate someone's help. Thank you very much! Also, my temps are never really over 60 Celsius so I don't think that's the problem.
  12. Ah, that's what I figured. Damn. Well thanks for your response!
  13. I had two questions involving RAID. One, I was wondering how to tell if a mobo can do raid? Is it based on the chipset or what? I have an Asrock B75M-DGS and am unsure as to whether or not I can even do any raid arrays. And two, is there any way other than raid 0 to combine two drives to make one large volume? I have two 3TB drives, and would like to combine them so that it shows up as one 6TB drive for storage, but raid 0 sounds very risky, if my board can even do it. Thanks for your time!
  14. So I have an NZXT Source 210 Elite and an NZXT Sentry-2 fan controller, which comes with five temperature probes. One of which I have taped to the back of my graphics card, to (kind of) monitor temperatures there, but the other four are just hanging out in the drive bay. Where should I put them? And how should I attach them? The tape that comes with them sucks ass. Is it okay to use normal tape, or could that short stuff out? Thank you!
  15. I've seen a ton of water cooled builds here and on other sites through my adventures through the internet, and it seems like all of them refuse to fill the reservoir completely, and i was wondering if there was any special reason for this? Because it always seems to make condensation in the top which doesn't look very good. Thanks!
