  1. Well I cant get it to work . I'm just switching back to the 3.1 audio Jack. At least that way all the speakers play but it's pretty annoying that the left speakers are linked to the sub
  2. I'm not exactly sure if it's realtek audio . I do see that it has a supremefx chip thing on it but it says speakers (Realtek(R) Audio) when I click on the sound icon on the lower left part of the screen . I will however try to find this Realtek audio control software and see if it works
  3. Ok so I found the control panel . I changed it to 5.1 channel . Tested the speakers with the test button but playing music still only plays through 2 speakers

  5. Hi . So I built a new pc recently . The motherboard is a Asus Z390F . I have a Genius 5.1 channel surround sound system but I can only get 3.1 channel to work . I have plugged in the orange green and black audio cables but all this does is kill the sub and only makes the 1 speaker in the middle work . I've messed arround with windows sound settings and sonic studio 3 with no joy . I have also downloaded and installed the realtek drivers off the Asus website for the motherboard yet this didn't help either. I am stumped by this as I didn't expect it to be this complicated . Any help would be appreciated
  6. It's a wierd issue because this only started happening with the new build with the rtx2080 . I ran a R9380 on display port for 3 years and I never had this bug
  7. Lol so it seems the conclusion here Is that display ports might suck
  8. I will eventually test this in the future. But for now I think I might just get a HDMI screen
  9. It's insane right ? I wonder how many cards were released with this same defect .
  10. I only have 1 screen and it only supports displayport. I had to take my pc to a friend to test it on HDMI and it posted every time
  11. I also thought about this but I eliminated that possibility because I tested the cable on the onboard displayport connector on my z390f and it posted every time
  12. I haven't used solidworks or blender or anything yet but I bought a i9900k and rtx2080 super gaming trio . I've played hitman 2 on ultra high settings and the card didn't even heat up enough for the fans to start spinning at 1080p . This is at 60hz though
  13. Sell it to linus for a scrapyard wars video
  14. I recently switched back to Nvidia . But I was running a R9380 for almost 4 or 5 years (not sure about the timeline) and AMD performed well at some times and not so well at others . Sometimes they release bad GPU drivers but not long after they release updates to fix those issues . I'd say I'm still very impressed with AMD and my R9380 . And that gpu still works till today . I recently played borderlands 3 on it with medium-high settings at 60fps no problem
  15. Try pushing the power button on your monitor so it's shut down. When you turn your pc on and the first of the 4 led's pop up immediately push the power button on your screen so it detects your screen coming on before the vga led pops up . This is the solution for me since it seems to be a timing issue with either the screen or gpu
