Hey all, I am currently running an i5 4690k on a z97 with a maxwell titan x. The story is my dog managed to rip one of the USB cables out and shorted my motherboard now its intermittent when it works about 50% of the time none of the usb slots work. I had a look at z97s online and they are selling for almost doubble what they were new (UK). Even at this the i5 is running at 100% in most of my vr games so due an upgrade anyway. My question is would it be a good upgrade to get the ryzen 3 3600 from the i5 4690k along with 16gb of ddr4. This is going to cost me about £370. Will I notice a substantial difference for the cost. I'll also be looking at the rtx or gtx3000 series when that comes out so will need to be a bit future proof too. I dont do any editing really only gaming. Would it even be worth me waiting for Ryzen 4? Thanks
