  2. sorry fixed it thanks yeah i'm speaking about my older system not the one I'm building for my brother
  3. I bought both the Sabrent Rocket 1tb and the Silicon Power 1tb in January based on recommendations on reddit Recently I read that not any nvme would be good to install windows on but it wasn't clear why Can someone please clarify which one if any of them would be better to install windows on? Thanks
  4. from my understanding neutral pressure is ideal but that's pretty hard to achieve I would go with 3 intake front 1 output top 1 output back additional intakes on top could interfere with the actual stream of the airflow so it will take hot air longer to leave the case
  5. $183 difference... 3600 stock cooler + b450 tomahawk + 2080ti = $2247.91 10600k noctua u12s + z490 tomahawk + 2080 super = $2064.91 Idk what to do
  6. but by doing that you lose performance in games so what's the point? what would a better cpu gives that the 3600 can't?
  7. lol i'm sorry but what do you mean exactly? if you're saying it can handle 1440/144 then why wouldn't it register on the activity list?
  8. True but for the extra cost I'll have to balance it out from the GPU most likely so I'll lose more performance than the gain I'm afraid

  10. Looking for an upgrade on my couple years old build mainly for video editing (premiere, after effects) Any concerns regards compatibility? cpu INTEL 6700k Delided @ 4.6Ghz mobo ASUS Z170 MAXIMUS RANGER ram KINGSTON HYPERX FURY 8GB 2133 gpu ASUS STRIX 1070TI psu SEASONIC 860 PLATINUM In my country this is the most bang for the buck that I could find CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3200 - 166$ Note this is the model with the slightly slower timings 16-20-20-38 compared to 16-18-18-36 model which is not available here Does the difference mean a different die and does it matter? Alternatives I'm considering CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3200 - 203$ Kingston HyperX FURY RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) 3200 - 205$ I don't mind spending the difference if it gives me piece of mind... Thanks!
  11. I would like to hear about your experience with backing up\offloading footage to external storage without a laptop while traveling. Which hardware did you use and did you regret not bringing the laptop after all? M.2 form factor is very convenient for the traveler, get proper enclosure and you've got yourself a flash stick on steroids. Thoughts?
  12. I see now, so it's kind of a buffer principle. Thanks man, I'm blown away from how helpful you are.
  13. Yes, Windows 10 So I assume the first time 3K write speeds were thanks to an empty dram basically? It was measuring dram speeds?
  14. Well, first of all thanks for the clarification. I'm not worried anymore. I'm finding it hard to wrap my head around it. But I freed up the space so it's not full anymore, shouldn't it reset? What if I'll get more RAM? Will It effect degradation? So I assume the first time 3K write speeds were thanks to an empty dram basically? It was measuring dram speeds?
