  1. I don't know there looks to be 2 lights where the cable is plugged in and one of them is a constant green whilst the other a flashing orange.
  2. When I plug in my ethernet cable, there is a orange flashing light, and the connection in the game i play isn't as good as it has been in the past. I tried searching this up but not much help is given. The orange flashing light on the my motherboard near the ethernet port. I am using windows 10
  3. I got the cooler put back on with the backplate(thats why they said I couldnt put it back on) and it is still overheating. The place I took it to said after that and a stress test the cpu temps were normal but I took it back home and played some games and yet again, using HWMonitor and CoreTemp, my temps are still too high.
  4. Hello everyone, so I have taken off the cpu cooler(which was very hard and took a while) and reapplied thermal paste and tried to put the cooler back on. The cooler would not go back on. I tried but somehow Ibuypower got that thing on there so now the cooler is just sitting there and I re-removed the paste and am leaving it for tonight. Should I get a local repair shop to put the cooler back on so I can still use the warranty or should I just ask Ibuypower to fix it through the warranty without putting the cooler back on. I'm not really sure of my options right now but the first problem is that I can't get my cpu cooler back and second being the overheating. Suggestions on what to do? My other option is to buy a new cooler, put it on, and probably completely void the warranty.
  5. Thank you, I will first look at my cpu's thermal paste situation, and then buy and apply some after watching videos on how to. I will also remove the old(which is looking like there ma be none or a bad amount but more likely a bad mounting of cooler to cpu) I really hope this is the problem as if the cooler is the problem then we are getting into territory of warranty voidance and possibly sending back the whole pc sadly.
  6. Also, what would a bad mount even be? Like if the radiatior and fans are on the computer what could be wrong about it that I could fix myself?
  7. wait are my BIOS settings an overclock or no? either way thermal paste will probably be looked at tomorrow and if bad enough replaced. worst comes to worst Ill get a refund or new computer from the retailer or manufacturer
  8. true, I will check and probably buy and reapply thermal paste tomorrow if this is the tissue, but if not then the fault is on the cooler and i will just have to take it from there. ibuypower support has not been available for the past few days so contacting them about this is impossible
  9. Sorry that links showed up for that last tweet, here are the pictures.
  10. Hello everyone, I am still having the same overheating problem as of today and here is some of my BIOS information hopefully this will help determine if my pc is stupidly overclocked or not. Again thank you for your guys time. I would also like to add that there is a warranty on this prebuild through a retailer AND ibuypower that has not expired yet I believe but I do not know to what extent it is. Also today I have cleaned out the dust in my computer for the first time in a while and went back to gaming and the over 100 temperatures are still here.
  11. yep, it is spinning, and I turned it too its highest so somethings definitely wrong
  12. I think my motherboard is ASROCK so how would I check these settings?
  13. Tomorrow I will get my BIOS specs and a few pictures of the CPU mount but I think it may be the problem, but if not then the cooler may be broken.
  14. Hey everyone, thanks for all the replies so far and help. I think this is the problem and fixes. Tomorrow I will call ibuypower and try to figure this out even further but I do believe the cooler is either mounted badly or I have an unnecessary overclock. How would I check if there is an overclock in the BIOS? I can send a picture of it and I'm sending a picture of my cooler mount under the direct post. Again thank you a lot for help and I will continue to update this thread.
