  1. Hey, thanks so much for this advice! I had forgotten about the other SATA ports hidden under the GPU! This advice worked perfect!
  2. Hello All, I'm currently on an ASUS B-350M-A Prime motherboard using a 256gb M.2 Crucial MX300 as my boot drive. I used my PC like this for awhile, but, because it's not that large, I have also tried to install an old 1tb WD Blue and a new 500gb 860 Evo for extra storage. When I first plugged in the drives, neither of them were detected by BIOS.Hoping the problem was just faulty SATA cables, I ordered new cables to see if that would fix the issue to no avail. I don't think the problem is the power as the peripheral power cable I plugged the drives into is also plugged into my case fan controller which powers my two case fans, and both fans do spin when I turn the PC on. I also tried unplugging the WD Blue to see if it would make a difference to just plug in the 860 Evo, but that made no difference either. I have tried flashing my BIOS, installing Chipset drivers, installing the Samsung Magician app, and none of it seems to help detect the SSD or HDD. Please let me know any advice you might have!
  3. So, the Fostex TH-X00 are back on Massdrop, I am very tempted to get them, but my only concern is how much they will add to my current setup. I currently own the HD-600 (I love these) and the Oppo PM-3 (love these as well) with Amp/Dac JDS Labs Element (love this as well). I was wondering how much different/better they would be than the Oppo PM-3 as it is a much more mobile solution and how much I would gain from splurging the 400$ for these headphones. Any advice from someone who owns/has experience with the Fostex TH-X00's would be very appreciated! Thanks!
  4. Do you have any knowledge of the e3? Same Bluetooth functionality but 80$ cheaper and without the annoying knob that you mentioned
  5. The two main things are the size, especially compared to the e18 which is the next closest in price, and the price
  6. This adapter goes from lightning to USB, my dad has one that he'll give to me, pretty lucky http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MD821AM/A/lightning-to-usb-camera-adapter
  7. Also, shoutout to @Dackzy for helping me with this a little already!
  8. Hey, so, while using my pretty new Shure SE-315's on my phone recently, I noticed distortion on the treble end of the sound. I keep my volume set to basically 3/4 volume, so I'm not exactly blasting the sound. I was looking at a couple of portable Amp/Dac combos to get and wanted to some recommendations on which one to get as I have very little experience with this. My budget has a soft cap at ~150, but I would be willing to splurge for noticeable improvements in quality. The Amp/Dac combos I was looking at are: Fiio Kunlun E18 (https://www.amazon.com/Kunlun-E18-Portable-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B00GCDJBMM/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1474071453&sr=8-1&keywords=fiio+e18) JDS Labs C5D (https://www.jdslabs.com/products/84/c5d-amplifier-dac/) this is one of the ones that was noticeably over the budget that I was wondering if it was worth it Arcam rPAC (https://www.amazon.com/Arcam-rPAC-Personal-Converter-Headphone/dp/B007NXM3K2) another one over the price limit, and, again, wondering how worth it is AudioQuest Dragonfly Black (https://www.amazon.com/AudioQuest-DragonFly-Black-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B01DP5JHHI/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1474070666&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=audioquest+dragonfly+black&psc=1&smid=AKR88PAWTQVN2) right now I'm leaning heavily towards this one, but have no idea how good the quality is, there seems to be a lot of good Amazon reviews, but that can also mean jack Thank you for any advice you have to give!
  9. Freakin Dane, go eat some strudels (just kidding thanks for all the help! It was very useful!)
  10. Any recommendations for where to look for used cans? I was looking at /r/avexchange, but other than that I'm not really sure, lol
  11. What would you recommend between the 400i and 400s? Is the 100$ worth it? Should I look for some used pair of 400i's? Any help, other than what you have already given, would be awesome!
  12. So what would you recommend between the HE400i and Fostex TH-x00?
  13. What are you guys' opinions on the Hifiman HE 400S? I was looking at those, and for used fostex th x00s it looks like I could get new Hifiman HE 400S, just wondering.
