  1. Well I'll trust your word then lol. Gonna just get the 32 OHM version as then I can still use it on my phone in bed.
  2. So looking to get the "beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO" headphones and confused on whether I should get the 32 OHM or the 80 OHM. I know the 250 OHM you need a proper DAC for it, but what about the 80 OHM version? My motherboard: GIGABYTE B660M DS3H A fairly cheap motherboard I got last year and concerned that the 80 OHM version won't work well without a DAC, should I get the 32 OHM instead? Am I losing in a lot of sound quality by not getting the 80 OHM (and possibly a DAC if needed)? I'm not an expert in audio at all, this is coming from someone who has been using Logitech gaming headphones his whole life.
  3. Oh I don't expect 144hz at all, well, only with older games like CSGO, Killing Floor 2, Doom 2016, etc I do. I just really want to get around the 70-85fps range at 1440p for like 350$ or lower. The 2060 seems like it can do that for most games that came out before 2018 at high settings, excluding ubisoft/poorly optimized games. Maybe I need to reword these better... Either way I think I've decided to just wait another 3 months or so to see what will happen. I hope my 1060 6gb will still be able to sell for a lot by then.
  4. Well that's due to the poorly optimized hairworks baloney, that eats up 20fps alone. And maybe it's just me but I don't really trust AMD at all with their drivers or anything for gpu's lol EDIT: And my issue with NVIDIA is that it's probably going to cost 400$ which is already out of my budget and my PSU might not even be enough to handle it. Maybe an RTX 3050 comes out...but everything just feels like a guesing game.
  5. So I currently have a Gtx 1060 6gb and I was planning on selling it on eBay for like 150$. It's just an ok card, the reason I want to upgrade is I recently bought a 1440p 144hz ips monitor and it really struggles at that resolution in certain games. I'm playing games like The Witcher 3 at high settings (no hairworks) and it wiill occasionally be in the 45's to low 50's, and games like Battlefront 2 EA will often be round 40-50fps, and even in Killing Floor 2 (at ultra) it can sometimes dip under 60fps (which is really bad for a game that heavily relies on precise aiming). All I really want to is to be able to play those and some newer games at high settings at 70-90fps. And older shooters like Killing Floor 2 at above 100fps. Do you think I should upgrade to an RTX 2060? Or should I wait to the end of the year to see what Nvidia will release since christmas is 3 months from now? Keep in mind the most I would probably ever spend on a GPU is 350$ and my Power Supply is only 500 watts, so I can't get anything too crazy and I don't wanna spend much more. How long until an RTX 3050 or 3060 releases and would my power supply even be enough...because I really don't wanna spend much. 6. My bad I put the wrong link in. Also this whole post is a little pointless now. I went for a 75hz 29 inch ultrawide since a 1440p monitor and GPU would probably make me broke. I might go for that 2060 or something in a year for 2560x1080p 75hz, as my gtx 1060 6gb might have some issues for newer titles.
  7. Yes that's it. EDIT: And this is the card I plan on getting. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07TDN1SC5?pf_rd_r=JANRF5KM6NZ8HQ1P1NSP&pf_rd_p=ab873d20-a0ca-439b-ac45-cd78f07a84d8
  8. So will a corsair cx 500 wattage 80+bronze be enough to run a 2060 super overlocked?
  9. So I'm on a tight budget and can really only spend like 400$ (i'm selling my previous GPU) and was going to get a 2060 super mini (I just want to game at 1440p and get like 70-90fps in games I currently play). Also, I only have a 500 watt PSU, which means I won't be getting something that draws more power. That said should I wait a while longer for the new GPUS by Nvidia? And do previous GPU'S usually drop down in price as soon as the new one's get released? I don't really want to wait like 6+months, yet I don't want to just waste money and find out the new GPUS are better and won't draw more power.
  10. Alright, mine shows up as 437 wattage in pcpartpicker.com (I couldn't find the i5-4690k, only the i5-4690). I also have my CPU overclocked to 4.0 ghz from the base 3.50. So would my corsair cx 500 wattage be just enough? Apparently it's 80+ "Bronze".
  11. So I plan on gaming at 1440p and I heard that the 5700 xt has some awful drivers and I'm not sure I really want to deal with all that, but it has much better fps in games. For anyone that has a 5700 xt do you have any issues with it? Because I'm tempted just to get the 2060 super because I know it will be stable, have shadowplay, and overall I've only used nvidia gpus, so I know I will like it (plus I will probably just overclock it). Yet the 5700 Xt gets much better fps and seems like the better buy... Which one should I get for 1440p? And will both of them be fine on a corsair cx 500 wattage power supply?
  12. Yeah your 450w should be good enough. I use a corsair cx 500 watt psu and have my 1060 overclocked to the max and it runs no problem.
  13. 1060 = 1080p 60z I have a 1060 6gb and if I'm being honest I think it would be a waste to get anything above a 24-inch 60hz/75hz monitor. You're better off either spending that extra money from the monitor for a better gpu and get a nice 1440p 144hz gsync monitor setup. Also, 1080p 27-inch monitors from my experience are not very good for that resolution and can be kinda pixelated/blurry. Plus you're not really going to be getting that high of framerates to really even take advantage of 144hz or even 100hz monitors. In other words, I would go for a dual 24-inch 1080p 75hz monitor setup.
  14. I have one. It's really good for 1080p 60hz. Every game I have played I have gotten 60fps+ (granted I usually play older games). I have mine overclocked and the only complaint I have with mine is that it can be noisy, but I don't notice any temperature issues.
  15. As the title says I want to upgrade my GPU to an RX 5700 XT and i'm wondering if my corsair CX 500 WATT 80 plus bronze will be good enough to run it? I also run a 3440x1440 ultrawide, a secondary monitor, some usb stuff and I plan on overclocking the GPU. ----------------------- My other specs: PROCESSOR(OVERLOCKED TO 4.0GHZ): INTEL CORE i5-4690k MEMORY/RAM: VIPER DDR3 16.0 GB SOLID STATE DRIVE(OS): WESTERN DIGITAL BLUE SSD 500gb POWER SUPPLY: Corsair CX 500 WATTAGE MOTHERBOARD: ASRock H81M-HDS LGA 1150 mATX Intel Motherboard
