Cereal-Killer's Achievements

  1. Woah there soldier, no one is dick measuring. But whilst I appreciate that many people will push their GPU beyond it's safe limits and this will result in skewing of the data points, however (and it's a big however) my card being in 15-20th percentile would indicate that this is a VAST majority of people who are exotic liquid overclocking freaknuts, which I don't believe is the case. Yes, many but not a vast majority. Since I have had this card, I have suffered issues with micro stutter and lagging (not online either) which led me to believe that, if not faulty then just a piss poor £400 card. I am not interested in squeezing every last drop out of the card but what I would appreciate is it doing it's fucking job, which is what I paid for it for. So, how bout you turn around the "just being a dick" attitude and read the context of the post and not just the words?
  2. Every userbenchmark I run my Sapphire Pulse RX5700XT scores seemingly well as 102% but always has a red marker stating below expectations, in some cases 15th to 20th percentile. Rest of system seemingly running OK. Ryzen 7 2700, Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo 16GB Corsair Pro RGB 3200MHz RAM MSI MPG X570 Gaming Edge WIFI motherboard Sapphire Pulse RX5700XT WD SN500 256GB NVMe Sabrent Rocket 256GB NVMe Toshiba P300 2TB HDD Corsair RM850 Thermaltake Level 20 MT ATX Drivers were rolled back to 19.12.2 due to problems with latest offering (micro stuttering and lagging). But this has always happened since I got the card in November. Any ideas?
  3. Just messaged him and he is saying he can't even get it to boot at XMP2 3200. But if he puts old 'actual' 3200 RAM in it boots fine.
  4. Talking to a colleague at work today he was saying that his PC won't boot with new 3600MHz Corsair RAM he recently got and that his X570 mobo only offers XMP 2 profile of 3200. Is this a limitation of his 2700 CPU? I have a 2700 but only 3200MHz RAM so have never encountered an issue. Does he need a 3rd gen CPU to get the 3600MHz?
  5. Black USB 2.0. Red with no red box around them USB 3.0 and red with red box around them USB 3.1 gen 2 (also the USB C). I have the same Mobo.
  6. Rechecking the prices this morning. Now £14 a difference. £178 vs £192. I have a Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo Black cooler already so not that concerned in that space.
  7. In light of overclocking not really being the done thing on Zen2 is the 3600X significantly ahead of the 3600 in performance to warrant the additional cost?
  8. So after a couple of days with the new PSU, all is well. No crashing, no lagging and no freezing. Seems that the 2 month old TX-M650 was the issue.
  9. Replacement PSU should arrive tomorrow, will see if that makes a difference. I should be able to game at 1440p with that spec surely.
  10. Another slightly odd and annoying symptom started last night. I run 2 Samsung 1440p 27" monitors and monitor 1 has started booting up with 1650 x 1050 resolution, sometimes it recognises it has 2660 x 1440 available but other times it just gives 1650 x 1050 as max resolution. It never affects monitor 2. If I swap the DP cables round it still affects what is now monitor 1. Very odd, very annoying.
  11. I just hope this puts an end to the issues. Pretty much all of the system has been replaced in the last year (save the hard drives) and it should be a joy to play games on but it's been a nightmare.
  12. So I borrowed my son's PSU, a 550W EVGA Supernova G3 and it ran for over an hour with no problems, not a stutter or crash. Could have been a fluke but with the TX650M I was getting 10-15 minutes before crashing. I did an experiment with the TX PSU and put resolution down to 1080p and this seemed to solve the issue, but surely I shouldn't need to do that with the system spec I have. Anyway, reported it to the retailer and they have RMAd it and offered a 2019 RM850 fully modular replacement. Seems like a reasonable outcome.
  13. I realise this, hence me saying I don't think its useable even to test. I currently have a Corsair TX-650M in the system, as per the OP, which is Tier A. But I am unsure if its faulty or not and causing my issues. The convo about the VS was whether I had another PSU to test the theory or not. I have taken the EVGA G3 Supernova from my son's system and will test it tonight.
  14. I suppose I could "borrow" the EVGA G3 550 from my son's system. He has a GTX 1070 and so has no need for a 650W.
