JM2C here but there are much much better sounding IEMs available for the same price as airpods IMO, at all levels, from vanilla to pro to max.
Sony and Samsung and Sennheiser all make wireless IEMs that sound good for Bout the same price as vanilla airpods. Arguably, they sound significantly better and more musical. Work with any phone. Just saying. 

And if you were in the market for Airpods Max or something higher level like that I'd stear you towards Sony WH1000XM5 or Sennheiser Momentum 4 both of which, again, IMO, sound waaaaaaaaay better, and cost less too. 
 
The BEST solution though, is to buy those new bluetooth antennas that go over your ears and work with any audiophile IEM, and spend the rest of your money on a really quality standard IEM. Truthear Hexa, 7Hz Timeless, Kiwi Ears Quartet, Moondrop Blessing 3, Sennheiser IE200/300, all of these sound better than any wireless IEM and only things like the XM5 and Momentum 4 can exceed this level of performance. For example, the Bluetooth thingies (I don't know what they're called) OR a bluetooth dac/amp like a Shanling UP4 and a pair of truthear Hexa IEMs can be yours for just shy of $200 USD on Amazon which is about the cost of airpods 3 give or take and you'll have way better sound. But I'm a music and audiophile nerd so YMMV.

I highly doubt they'll announce new airpod Pros at the new event, although i would just hold off and see what happens anyway since it's tomorrow anyway.
 
With that said though, The 2nd gens aren't bad either. I use them and i also came from the 1st gen and it's pretty much the same, except for some big QOL updates. Like the volume adjustment on the tip itself, the added u1 chip from the airtag for extra precision when finding them (has come in handy SO many times). So if no pros come out of this event, the 2nd gen isn't a bad upgrade either.

The 2nd gen pro came out last year and Apple generally refreshes the pro products (except for the iPhone) every other year or longer. It's unlikely that we will see another air pod pro for at least another 6 months, probably closer to 18 months. I think it's safe to assume a new Air Pods Max might be just around the corner.
 
 
 

The 4th gen airpods won't be too much better supposedly so if they do announce the airpods 4, I'd wait and see or make another thread (after the event if they release them) asking whether or not to get them

The airpods gen 3 have already been released for about a year and a bit so if you want to wait for the 4's you can or you can get the 3's. But I would wait for the 4's to come out and get the three

but if you want to get the gen 4's then probably either in two days or at the last event this year. But if it's the pros gen 3 then the earliest would be early spring next year but I would expect something like this time next year for the next pros

but regarding your setup do you only have 1 exhaust on the system? and how many intakes?
air travels the easiest way so if the pipe restricts it to much it will just pop out of all cracks and stuff on the case.
the bigger diamater pipe you use the less pressure you need to push it so even if you dont have a fan that fits in it a higher diamater pipe will help the exhaust.
you can also add fans inside the pipe to help it .
also the pipe itself will give off a fair amount of heat.
 
all in all DBX10 seems to have the math down for the pipe

The problem here would be how much static pressure would you need to be pushing air through what essentially is a long tunnel. Fans able to do that on the PC end would be noisy. 

I'm not saying it absolutely wouldn't work, and I'm no engineer, but I remember leaning about basic fluid dynamics and my brain hurts already.
If we do back of the envelope two plus twos and use a known reference: plumbing stuff.

A 120mm fan is 105mm in diameter from blade tip to blade tip, more or less 4 inches. YAY DUMB UNITS 🏫🔫🇺🇸 that means you can go get National Pipe Standard airflow loss equations off google. Woohoo.

So basically a good, PRETTY, BEAUTIFULLY BROWN static pressure fan for a hopefully good PC pushes 2.34 mmH2O of static pressure. 1mmH2O is 0.00980665kPa so BADABING BADABOOM you now have NUMBERS. (0.022947561kPa to be exact)
 
So. You put this in the number cruncher for NPS4 (4 inch pipe standard) and a pipe length of 2 meters: 
 

 
 
Long story short, 6.50255 e-5 PSI, which I rounded to 0.00007 because I wanted to, translates to 0.00413685 kPa and we've established that a good 120mm fan pushes about 5 times that amount.
